beth, i agree. some of the other forums i visit have discussion/conversation sections and it is a nice feature.

so spike, if you deem worthy, i would greatly appreciate this added section as well.

I agree too. I'd like to have a place to come and vent and whine. lol oh and talk about seeds and plants of coarse. :)

we can share good days bad days, ask about a plant,
girls you can paint your nail while we chat but anyone caught cutting your toenails or shaving legs at this table is out !!!!! til their done :))) don't wanted hear it !!!

My 2 cents today...... the sun is finally shinning here in Ohio. So sick of the rain and mudd. I need sunshine!!! I am more motivated when the sun is out and the skies are blue. However, its February and some of my tulips are popping up, that kinda scares me this time of year...do you think they will be okay??? A little about myself... I'm married almost 18 years now. I have 2 teenage daughters. Live in the country, w/ 3 cats, 3 dogs (labs), and 2 pygmy goats. I am licensed by the Ohio State medical board as a massage therapist, but not able to work for the last year due to problems with my elbow. (figures) All that schooling for nothing. Well, I am full of knowledge about the human anatomy and physiology, but now I cant use it. Anyway...... love this site and gardening and looking for treasures at yard sales, auctions and so forth.. I think a conversation place would be great too. Beth you are so full of good ideas! Besides basic sharing we could give hot tips on mailing, good finds for seeds/gift swaps (as in: where do people get those wonderful little sheer paper envelopes for seeds? Where do people get SEEDS? I clearly have to go to the seed forum... so much to learn.)

Anyway, I vote for a conversation forum attached to this thread too.

Dawn that is a bummer on your elbow! Is there any hope for regaining use enough for LMT work? Could you use your schooling and knowledge to teach someday? We live in the country too: hubby of nearly 25 years, daughter age 18 preparing to leave the nest, 5 cats (always nesting!), one owned dog, 4 visiting neighbor dogs and two pygmy goats! Clearly we have good taste in animals.

Yes, I can teach if the oppurtunity comes. I could even probably start up my own school since the closest one is 80 miles away, but.......... do I want that stress? I would need alot of massages myself! :) Ohhhh who knows, I'm waiting to see what doors I should go through.. in the mean time.... its family, friends and flowers. :)

As to getting seeds for tradeing.I started in my TX yard 4 yrs ago.I had mimosa seeds/MGs& carolina jessimine.I was also able to being a newbie have someone sponser me to help get me started. was unichawk.I had enough in some for sowing a lil then shareing for some I wanted.I've returned the favor to a few newbies myself.plus was around farmland then...so found some things to transplant(BES,trumpet vine,vinca minor,golden rod,mex marigold)& shared a few as well for others.I found GW when hubby bought me 83 rose bushes for mothers day.I needed info and FAST,I had only grown them in Indpls.lol.I have less now,but still add one a year at least& know LOTS more about them.

I enjoy the RR cause sometimes get a better variety then would in just a regular trade.My 1st RR was a butterfly one last year( I loved the page of butterfly links included,,,that was really great!)...right before we got our own spot.a discussion area would work GREAT!

Sue,Here we need to at least keep somewhat related to the swaps/RRs or we might get deleted as being off subject. If we wanted to just share ideas on something like "How I get stains out of white tea cups", Or "how to have hairless legs" We could not do that here.... we would be "referred" , "elsewhere"

Well.....I am in my 3rd month of my first Round Robin (Secret Pal for a year) and already have next months box packed for my Secret Pal.

I have to share my wonderful surprise today! I went to WallyWorld and at the very top of the plant sections were all kinds of BEAUTIFUL African Violets (my Secret Pal saves these and I found some AWESOME African Violet pots at Marden's for $1.99 each). Anyways, I couldn't see the very top of the plant shelf as I'm a 5'4" Maine Polar Bear *lol* so I went to the patio furniture dept. and grabbed a plastic lawn chair. When I stood up on the chair I was amazed at the beautiful varieties that were there. I carefully picked out the 4 best ones but didn't see a price. When I was leaving the garden section an employee was lingering about so I asked her "how much are these"......guess what she said?.......$1.94!!!! I was tickled pink!

I have found some of the cutest things for my Secret Pal! I think I get more excited shopping for her than I do receiving from my Secret Pal. Everytime I come home from the store hubby will say......"whose that for"? I reply....My Secret Pal. He says....."wish I were your Secret Pal" *lol*.

Yesterday in the car we were talking and he told me about the computer stuff he bought (didn't understand half of what he said but nodded and ummmm hummmmed along)......I thought this would be a good time to tell him....Guess what? I joined another Secret Pal today *lol*. He took it well, better than I thought he would *lol*.

Hubby and I were neighbors since we were 12 years old. We were always best friends but I didn't want to ruin the friendship by being boyfriend/girlfriend. At 22 we were married and have been married for 13 years. We have a 15 1/2 year old son (hubby adopted him as his father gave him up without seeing him....a blessing in disguise) and an 11 year old girl. We have 1 cat who thinks he's human and loves to follow me around the gardens. I have recently updated my "ME" page here so check it out as it has a picture of Kazz on it.

I LOVE it here and have met some of the very nicest people in the world. I am addicting to trading plants and wake up each morning with a cup of coffee and the forums.

I think a conversation link would be great as I don't see much "conversations" going on in the actual "exchange" Round Robin threads.

I have known my husband since we were 5! He lived 2 streets behind me, but we never dated or got together until we were 18! And now you know...... the rest of the story. :)
Carol, I want you to teach me how to put pics and things here. They are fun to see!!! And talk to me like I'm 5 because I take awhile to catch on. :)
Walmart has alot of good seeds and they carry Burpee seeds here as well. Lot to choose from. This is my first year of starting so many things from seed.... nervous :(
