Can we talk about food processors?
Comments (102)2Many, my DH looooves mushrooms and eats them as one of his primary proteins. The dish I made is just something I conjured up by hap chance one night and it quickly became my DH’s favorite. I saute the sliced creminis along with a diced onion and garlic to taste. When browned, I set that aside in a bowl and toss a healthy portion of frozen stir fry veggies (from Costco again) in the pan. I toss them until they’re half way thawed, add the mushroom mix back along with some PF Changs Mongolian BBQ cooking sauce and a bit of water. Mix it up good and let it cook until the veggies are soft but not over cooked and serve it over rice. The mixed veggies have carrots, broccoli, summer squash, red bell pepper, green beans and a few other goodies. It’s a great healthy one dish meal, that I have no name for! Comments (30)As the owner of two cats, both prolific pee-ers (can't figure out correct spelling or perhaps not a real word), I was thrilled to discover Sustainably Yours Cat Litter with odor control. I used to use WBCL, but once I tried Sustainably Yours I switched and never looked back. It is more expensive per bag, but it goes so much further because it clumps so much "tighter". I know some people complain of their cats' tracking the litter away from the litter box and I had that problem too, but I just got extra large litter mats to put under my boxes and have found that, by the time my cats reach the end of the mats, the litter has mostly fallen off their paws. As an added bonus for all decor obsessed cat owners, the Sustainably Yours which is crystal white, is actually quite pretty in it's unsoiled state! BTW: I do find the "plus" formula much more satisfactory at odor control than the original formula....See MoreCan we talk about fake flowers??
Comments (6)The arrangement and vase look lovely. It was kind of your daughter to think of how to make the Waterford vase show off for you. The green may fade in a year or three. Then it will be time to change out the flowers. THere are times and places for silk flowers. This is one of those times and places....See MoreCan we talk about Mochi
Comments (17)Neely, yes, I meant the spongy rice wrapper around the filling. The shape and wrapper, or skin, is the same whether it's ice cream (frozen) or from the Japanese deli (fresh). This is only one kind of mochi, but it has penetrated to many corners of the USA, which is why I called it American. When I was a kid, one could only get them from Japanese places in the Japanese neighborhoods. Those villages are mostly integrated into the surroundings now, but a lot of the food, for better or worse, has gone mainstream. I know there's a whole panalpy of other kinds of mochi, but they're still are only in specialty stores here. The Chinese rice ball has a pebbly textured rice wrapper, rather than a rice dough one, and is usually covered in sesame seeds. Oh, and they're fried and oily. If you had really good fresh ones, you'd probably like them. :)...See Moredaisychain Zn3b
