Will the bananas turn brown??

I'm planning to make curried chicken tonight. I decided to also make a cold accompaniment consisting of: Cubed mango, cubed pineapple, coconut, plain yogurt thinned with lime juice and seasoned with salt, pepper, cilantro and red pepper flakes. It's done and in the frig. I have some bananas, if I slice those in now, will they turn brown?? I don't use fresh bananas in many dishes with the exception of banana pudding and I have had them turn brown in the past if not covered with the pudding.

If you mix them into the lime and yogurt dressing with the pineapple, it won't turn brown....but they will be better and fresher if you can wait a few hours.

If the fruit salad is done, lay out the bananas on the bottom of a new bowl and pour the salad over the top. Mix when you set it on the table! I like your fruit combo, rita.

Watching mine I think its normal. It seems to be putting out new higher leaves about the same time the old lower ones die off. Not sure if thats what is happening but thats what looks like is going on.

I have 2 banana type leafed plants ( don't know the original name) but the leaves are continuously turning brown don't have the foggiest it happening before the even unfold help me!!!

I would just wait & add the bananas right before serving; they get a bit mushy otherwise, even if not brown & slicing bananas is fairly quick & easy anyway.

And if you just slice the bananas and don't put them in the fruit salad, they will brown.
