pendant lights and recessed lights in kitchen
Comments (1)It's normal to not be able to look into a recessed light. If the light is too bright, consider adding a dimmer for flexibility. Leviton has a really nice toggle dimmer with tiny touch pads on the sides to adjust the brightness....See MoreKitchen Pendants- Which pendant light for this kitchen?
Comments (6)I like them all, but not number 2, but maybe that one will work for your taste- it's just not mine. I really like 3 and 4 (the one your husband likes)....See MoreSize of pendant lights in kitchen with 10x4 island
Comments (3)The ones in the picture are (i believe) from St. James Lighting or Carolina lanterns called 'Gothic Cage'. I have recessed lighting throughout my kitchen already and lots of natural light during the daytime. The lanterns I had previously were 15 inches and were uprights as well and I never had an issue where there was not enough light in the kitchen. My main concern is just size, I am a fan of the larger pendant lights but don't want to get them and have them too large. Thank you for any help!...See More2021 kitchen trend: pendants or no pendants
Comments (3)definitely do not need pendants if the lighting is adequate. dimmer can give you evening ambience . you might regard pendants as a feature that delineates a seating zone.... but if you have a feature filled space / with your cabinetry/hardware/floor/ and tile etc, you don't have to. Cabinet cost is large part of kitchen expense..many folks must stay within a cost conscious selection of cabinetry and function always beats form ....So the painted two tones/ features w trim /toe kicks/matching interiors can easily be edited out. So lighting and hardware as in newer finishes and those pendants can up the style quotient in a personalized way much cheaper than all the add ons in cabinetry. it just depends....See Morepdmd
