Getting a row of tall cedars planted for backyard privacy

Hi folks! I'm new to this forum and have learned a lot by reading through the archives.

I have just moved into a new area (Burlington / Waterdown / Hamilton) and I need some privacy in my back yard. I am looking at a couple of ideas, but what's really grabbed me is the idea of a line of tall cedars. Specifically, I've found these websites:

http://www.cedargrovehedge.com/index.html
http://www.cedarguys.com/

From what I've read, these businesses plant white cedar or "swamp cedar". It looks like, once the cedars are established, they will be fairly low maintenance and should provide some privacy. I'm thinking of getting some of the taller ones planted across the outside edge of my back yard.

What do you'all think? Has anyone here used any of these (or similar) companies? Does anyone have a better idea for natural privacy?
