Getting off topic, but here is the latest craigslist annoying scam that I fell for: I posted to give something away, got a response, replied that the person could have the item, and the spammer sends this back: OK, thank you for getting back to me. Actually i cant get it right now anyways, my son just put a HUGE dent in my van and now im gonna need to figure out how much money its gonna cost to repair it. ugh! Im so happy he didn't get hurt but of course it just had to happen now, when i am finally making good money with this home income program i've been doing. You know, if you want, theyve just opened up 2 more positions in our area. Basically you get paid to post links online, its very easy and I usually just do it while watching tv. You find some amazing deals on your CL. Heh, if I didn't sell the first time for $80, then perhaps it'll go down again. At least you know what the person paid for it... Might want to inquire about it and say you'd seen it before on CL and am wondering why they are selling it? For profit, didn't fit the space or the veneer problem is worse than they thought. I always wonder how much you have to discount for damages. There was this little antique mahogany end table for sale on my CL recently for $70 which had a 1" piece of the top missing and they said they were discounting it due to the damage. I really liked it, but I thought it should be discounted a lot more--say around $40. Now, it expired and I've not seen it crop up again so I can't inquire about it. Problem is, if I bought it, I'd have to sell my floor lamp and replace with a table one--so I passed. Still itching for it though.

yeah I sold my MIL's house on craigslist last September, and a table and chair set last year, but was procrfastinating on the range and dishwasher..just glad to have them sold (if they do pick them up today like they said)

Congratulations on your beautiful new table. Well done. My dining room is 12 x 13.5. I have a Baker double pedestal table similar to yours that is 46" x 88" with both leaves in. It has another one somewhere around here. Anyway in addition to the table there are 6 chairs around it and on one wall a 26" deep at the deepest point bowfront sideboard with one chair on each side of it. It's a little tight but works fine. I think it will fit in your room just fine especially since you don't plan to have a sideboard with it in the same space. If you are concerned about the chairs you could do the taller upholstered chairs at each end and then smaller wood chairs on the sides. I think it looks best with six chairs and storing the other two for larger dinner parties somewhere else. Have fun!
