Probably a combination of moderate temps and high humidity. Open the windows and use a fan. Don't know if you can save anything at this point, or if it's worth the trouble. Houston is notorious for high humidity, ventilation is very important in your area. Live and learn and replant.

Velleta, What you have described is Liquified Petroleum Gas (sometimes abbreviated LPG) used for the stoves, also known as propane or butane. That's what we had at home before we got natural gas (the underground pipe kind). However, I don't think it's the issue either. It wouldn't choose one plant. I only meant to say that the phrasing of that bit of advice wasn't really accurate and yet I'd found it multiple places. Added: Since sometimes other readers find these threads, I looked up "cooking gas" and it does seem to refer to LPG or the "bottled" gas instead of the natural gas. I think natural gas might do the same thing, but I don't want to sit a plant beside my unlit stove to see. I've had a couple of blossoms brown when they were near the cook top, but I only sit plants there waiting to repot them and I tend to neglect them for a day or two so I don't know if it's the gas or the neglect. It's on an island so they sit right beside the stove. I'm happy it's nothing incurable too. My understanding of the botrytis blossom blight is that it then progresses. There are a lot of photos of it on other plants and it looks like something I've seen on outdoor plants. It's not exactly slimy but mostly looks either decayed or moldy on those ones. (Coastal, inland, et cetera) - Have you been going through a hot or cold spell? - What kind of sun exposure is it getting? - Have you checked it for scale on the stems or spider mites on the underside of the leaves? - Most importantly, (in my opinion), which Passiflora is it? To me it looks like the entire plant is collapsing. 1st. I don't use chemicals unless I actually SEE that I have a problem. I don't know if that was the problem,,,but I read that you used Malathion as a PREVENTATIVE. I am of the school that I wait til I actually see a problem before bringing out the big guns. Also when I bring a violet home, all I do is water it and leave it alone for about a month. I don't fertilize it either. Not just yet. I let it acclimate to me and my "climate" before asking/forcing it to change. 2nd. What mix proportion is your new soil. I see you have it on a wick. My guess is you may have too heavy of a mix for constant watering. 3rd. IF it were my plant,,,,,I would unpot, cut off all leaves EXCEPT the 3 little crown leaves. Save as much root as you can but make sure you trim it down enough to fit into a small pot or cup. Yep, reduce it and start it over as a baby. Repot in a small pot, with a very light soil mix. 1/2 soil, 1/2 perlite. Put it back on its wick system and hope for the best. Also,,,if you have it on a continuous watering system (wick) I would not put it where it can get rained on. Good luck!!! Anyone else got anything? Rosie
