Comments (12)Sad to see this end, too, but SO ready for spring! Been in the 70's and 80's here the past couple of weeks, but rained almost every day and now they are calling for 28 this weekend...UGH, I'm never going to finish pruning Love everyone's X-Rated pics...what a cute mini! Seil, You're the One and Yantai are fabulous, too! And Beth, of course, I love your Zebra stripey!!! All I have is a picture of my Zephirine Drouhin from last spring when it was still a baby...it's grown leaps and bounds since, so hoping for a big, smelly spring display :)...See MoreX Y Z daylilies 2018
Comments (17)David, I do feel like it's Mask of Time also; glad you agree. Yazoo Wild Violet does well here; not exceptional, but well. Bud counts are rarely impressive here but YWV has an average count for my zone. Not so impressive that I wrote it down but if it was shabby in that respect I would have noted it. The scapes are on the short side. The plant does seem to bloom for a long time if I remember correctly. And the color in my garden seems more blue-purple than what I've seen on the database....See More2020 letters W, X, Y & Z
Comments (16)No perennials in these letters, but my garden will perennially feature zinnias because the butterflies love them. Varieties pictured include 'Super Yoga Rose' which I can sadly no longer find, 'Mazurkia' and 'Exquisite'. Thanks, GardenHo and Peren.all for hosting this fun event! I have enjoyed looking back through last year's garden, and thanks to a weird warm winter, this alphabet has carried me right through to blooming flowers in this season's garden! I really appreciate seeing everyone's gardens and all the lovely comments and feedback on my photos. I hope your gardens have a great season! (And thanks Ken for suggesting we steal the hosta forum idea!) Happy meteorological spring, all!...See MoreHostas X, Y and Z 2021 ..........................
Comments (27)Great pics everyone and yes Paula, you deserve thanks for the A-Z part as well as what's still to come. I'll break the ice on Xs with X-cellent. I wouldv'e bought this one even it didn't begin with X. I love Beilstein Hosta. Yesterday's Memories - I bought this one hoping for a reverse Wave Runner. Perhaps it needs more direct sun, but it's starting to strut its stuff after 3 years in the garden. Yosemite Valley starts turning yellow in early June but really starts glowing in early July and holds its own into early August. Planted in direct sun from about 9:00 - Noon. And I picked up a Z last year, so it's not strutting yet, but I have high hopes for it. Zucchini Fries: Almost forgot, I finally got my Yellow Polka Dot Bikini on last year. I always thought it was identical to Hanky Panky, but didn't look it last year. Not really fair to assess greenhouse stock against my yard so this year should tell a better tale. Now I just need to go back and do the Tease to finish up....See Moresherrygirl zone5 N il
