Here I am!!! Had a busy day, along with a vehicle backing into the front of my car at the grocery store. :-(

She said her back-up sensor didn't beep or anything so she thought it was clear, until she felt my car. Thank heavens she stuck around.

The first one of these surfaced in the early 1900's. It quickly became very popular. Despite technology changes since then, it remains popular.

Phantom electricity. Power to idle TV, computers, chargers left plugged in, etc.

Yup, another vote for electricity just from things being plugged in and not turned on.

I did think of ligers because of Napoleon Dynamite, which is where I first heard of them. I wasn't sure that Jasdip would agree with me, however. As for hippos, I will guess 150°, but I don't know how large that would be in feet and inches. I subtracted 30° from Nicole's answer. Anyway, I think it is more than 120° and less than 180°.

I used to work in a nursing home. I was the nursing office "do-whatever" for the day shift. Once, I had to take a form around to the nurses for them to read and sign. Of the eight nurses on duty, 5 were left handed!! That really surprised me and I did some research on that and determined that 5 out of 8 was a huge difference from the regular population. I went into the therapy department and again the numbers were much higher. My conclusion was the left-handedness and caring for and about others went hand in hand.

Leaking toilet or bad float so that the water keeps running. We didn't know it until we got our water bill.

ETA I'm sorry about your accident. Hopefully there's not too much damage. Sometimes those new fangled gadgets on cars aren't so wonderful....

loss of heat.

So much for technology, maybe next time she'll use her mirrors and head. Glad you're ok. I was looking for my daily make up an answer.
