Thank you everyone. I had a very nice birthday. This morning Cheryl and Kevin took me out to breakfast as well as Amber and Mike. Of course Alyssa was along too. We ate at the Sirloin Stockade and we could eat breakfast and lunch. I had fried chicken with my french toast! I had a lot of other great food too, no supper for me tonight! We shopped for Alyssa afterward, such fun looking at little girl clothes. So thank you everyone that has wished me such a happy birthday. Sue

Good for you Sherry. No, have not been to any yet this season but we are looking forward to it. Is yours the big electric roaster? I have a couple of them, one is a Nesco can't remember the other one and I have inserts for them to keep things warm while serving 3 different things. Have used them in the past for big outside family get togethers. Of course have used them for turkeys and whatever you want to bake. I don't really care for them for pies though, too much dampness I guess. I am working today on our meal here after we get home from church tomorrow. I plan on fixing ham, Great Northern soup beans with flat dumplings, cornbread, coleslaw, and probably some apple dumplings since I have the stuff to make them. Will fix some other things too if I feel up to it and have the time. My back is feeling some better so maybe I can get some more done. It is raining a little here today, but so far not a lot. It is 54 out right now. Izzi and I will go out on the big rig in awhile and get the mail and cruise out back and look at our garden. Hope everyone is enjoying their day. Sue in Central Indiana

Thanks a bunch Minnie. I really need to get that sewing room of mine straightened up! This is terrible, can't walk, can't lift, I do scoot on the floor pretty good to dust! I have the nicest big table in my sewing room to cut fabric on. I was at this rummage sale, I think last year, anyway, they had this big mission style dining room table with leaves for $50. Perfect. I have a cutting board on the top to protect it. I have two computer desks in there with sewing machines on them. Two big wardrobes with shelves, and a clothes pole in each and a matching chest of drawers. I got the wardrobes at Lowes when they were moving, $10.00 each! They are tall things. Daughter painted them white and they have really nice stenciled leaves on them. The chest of drawers was from another rummage and painted to match the wardrobes, five dollars for it. Lots of odds and ends in there, boy do I need to get busy! I sure hope I can hobble to church tomorrow. I didn't get to go last Sunday. I have to take my sweet potato casserole and my yeast rolls. I will bake my rolls in the morning after they raise. They are made up and frozen. Oh its for the monthly church dinner. So nice to hear from everyone. Sue

We call it ham salad, to. I make it all the time. I use 2 lbs bologna, 9 or so boiled eggs, a 24oz jar of sweet pickles,1 baseball sized onion and miracle whip. Sometimes after it sits you need to add more miracle. I use the old fashion hand grinder. I grind up the eggs first, then all the other things. Yummy, yummy.. One day I was coming out of Meijer and I heard someone call my name. It was a guy my hub worked with years ago and we had camped with a few times when our kids were young. He asked me if I would send him my ham salad recipe. He said he had trisd to make it a couple times and it never tasted right. He told me it was the best he had ever had. he gave me his email address and I sent it to him.. I, too, like the Echrich bologna the best. I just got a new table and chairs and it won't work to fasten the grinder to it. I have to figure out some other place to do it. I am sure hubby wil get something figured out for me.
