Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. It was such a full day! First had to take husband to the wound care clinic and then to his family doctor and then back home again. Cheryl and I then picked up Amber and Alyssa and headed to Pizza Shack in another town and met with my son Randy and his soon to be bride Erica. Terri, Mandy and Alex could not join us. I bought the kids their meals and we had a nice visit and great food. I like that there I can get just a plate pizza, lots of toppings and no crust. I love the salad bar there too. Alyssa was happy to give me the birthday card from her and she decorated it with stickers of horses and flowers. She also gave me two small coloring books. Very nice day but so long and tiring. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. I had to deal with the password thing on Houzz and I was rather busy the weekend and all day today it seems. I read each and every post and I do appreciate all of them. No, did not have a meal or a party yesterday. Just home, had a to go box for lunch from the church that youngest daughter brought me and later she and granddaughter Alyssa came with gifts and then later oldest daughter Cheryl came. Good to hear that you had an enjoyable dinner with friends, Sue. Only half of the greatness of a dinner is the food - the other half is the folks with whome one shares it.

(For those of us who live alone ... the only way that one can "share" it is to put a big mirror on the top of the table ... on the other side of the food [but the conversation can only be referred to as talking to one's self]).

(Were one to "eat for two" in such a circumstance ... the food wouldn't "go to waste" - but would "go to waist", I reckon).
