Sun catchers OR something else for patio doors
Comments (9)Depending on what the bird is doing, the cling-type decals should work nicely. However, we have floor to ceiling windows across our livingroom and in spite of the drapery swag and cling decals we still have occasional thumps. This generally occurs when the red tail hawks are hunting, and all the birds scatter. Two days ago a robin hit one of the windows trying to escape the hawks; they're not very observant when it's a life or death situation. However, he lived to fly again. The cling decals work great for keeping the dogs from running into the glass as well....See MoreSliding door and large window - roman shades or something different?
Comments (13)Didn’t realize that the blinds were old and damaged; they look good in the photo. I don’t think one Roman shade is the best idea for a slider because if it down you can’t use the door. On my slider, which is 12’ wide, I spend the money on a Hunter Douglas accordion shade (black out because it is in the bedroom) and opens in the middle. The stack back on each side is about 7” at the most. It has a track cover and could easily be covered by a valance and them have a stationary panel on each side, covering the stack back ( panel of 54” wide finished edge would be enough for each side). Move over to the window…do the same valance, hung at the same height, You can decide which makes the most $ sense…having a rod under the valance with two panels, each wide enough draw for privacy, or having a duette pulled up under the valance and two stationary panels on either side....See MoreSliding door dilemma, barn or something else?

Comments (8)You mean on the porch? Hopefully I can get three pictures in here. All of our land is to the sides and back of the house, and there's pea gravel in front of one parking area. We have two parking areas. We're a bit from the road which is why I want the pots to stand out. Old picture, right side of porch. The furniture is still there but painted white, and rearranged, and a much larger colorful rug that will be replaced soon. So ignore thee colors. There's also a cream colored wrought iron stand with 4 shelves, not pictured. Oh, the porch roof is white. Left side of porch. Old picture when my Roses were in their glory. Every single one of them caught Rose Rosette Disease. If you look closely you can see the pea gravel where I park. This spring it will be like an English garden, full of Cosmos and such, the fencing will be replaced Not sure where the old pot and topiary are. I'm in the process of finding a new outdoor rug, I loved the one I have but it bleached and it doesn't get sun in that area! No clue what color it'll be....See Morebry911
