Good point... There is a label above the slot that identifies it as a hdmi port. A number 6 was also identified. I then went back to the external ports option and label video 6 as hd. hd was one of the choices it gave me to use. After that I was able to point the tv to slot 5 and the Roku displayed the first screen. For the benefit of others who might be going down this same path at some time...If the label does not identify the slot then as kudzu9 suggested... simply try each slot in turn until you click on one. The label though makes it a lot easier. Another problem poped up next and this was simply a case of the online Roku install procedure falling a little short of leading a new customer through the process. The install process accurately identify the att wireless name. In case you need to know what your wireless name is... it is, in my case, labeled on the router. After I selected the att choice it then asked me for my password. One would think that they wanted the password that I setup for the wireless. No, not the case... it came back each time I tried saying the wireless could not be located. It would have been helpful if their on screen instructions asked for the router number instead of the password. I found this numeric number also pasted on the router. Bingo... every thing worked and I completed the process. I then had a cocktail and vowed never to install another new system again. Once again I got some very good help from the att support staff as well as the vendor where I bought the tv from. They still had my purchase on line and was able to pull up the manual which helped a lot. Now it is on to looking at the channel lineups and see what is there. Btw, I have now watched 2 movies and the 3 mbps process did not break up once.

Amex has always charged more than the other cc companies. Others have already pointed out that those mall cc purchases really hit small businesses hard. We have customers that are kind enough to be aware of that and write checks or use their debit card, or even, believe it or not, pay in cash. A lot of you have mentioned Costco. I've never shopped at one because they're just not convenient to me, but I used to shop at Sam's. I quit doing that years ago because they had an annual fee, and I didn't feel like I was saving enough to make up for that annual fee. Most of what I got at Sams I could buy as a loss leader at a regular grocery store. I've also not found coupons to be very useful, because they're rarely for real food, just processed food. After seeing several stories on the news, and listening to co-workers, I broke down and bought a Sunday paper several weeks ago for the coupons. Boy, was I disappointed. I spent $2.00 on the paper, and maybe found that much worth in coupons that I might use, (which I have to admit I've forgotten about), and then I had all this mess of paper to deal with. So many good suggestions - thank you all. I think I will try the Otterbox. It will make DH happy since he researched it plus it does offer good protection. DH really did all his homework - he also bought the 2 year full protection plan' and a stylus. Checking the reviews I read that many complained about the difficulty in installing it and that Otterbox's own video wasn't too enlightening. many also mentioned that it's not something that's easy to put on and take off. Good point about the foldable headphones. DH doesn't care for ear buds so he'd prefer them too. I have a Kindle eReader and all of my books transferred to the Fire. I have subscribed to several free Kindle sites but I really find the best recommendations are when KT members mention titles they've found and post about it. The number of books are overwhelming and it can be hard to pick the good ones from the mass of mediocre books. DH paid the extra $15 so I don't get any of Amazon's "special offers" (a.k.a. advertisements) but I did notice today that there are small adds on the top of some pages. So I guess I'll have to install Adblock Plus. And I should download Avast too. Pammyfay I got a chuckle out of your suggestion to pick up a little pouch for my charger and earphones. It's amazing how quickly the cables, connectors, chargers and other accessories for these devices multiply. I started out with a small clear plastic zippered pouch to hold the cables and chargers for my cell phone and iPod. Then when DH gave me the eReader I bought a slightly larger one. I have so many duplicates that I finally labeled them and I now keep one set at home, another in the car and a third set at our vacation house. I'm sure I'll be hitting the 'Mayday' button regularly. I've already jotted down a few questions. I'll save Raven's link to the 12 tips - there are 5 or 6 that are useful now and the others might come in handy in the future. I agree, you might want to talk to a lawyer just to see what could happen. They might just threaten you with action but not do anything. I'm never sure how far these companies are willing to go when it comes to one person (well, a whole bunch of people, if everyone illegally downloads). For now the bigger issue seems to be his computer usage. I would definitely move that thing out his room until he understands it is YOUR butt that something happens to if he does something illegal. The stuff you've been warned about could be just the tip of the iceberg in terms of illegal material, i.e. explicit images, etc. What you need is the help of a computer specialist that can teach you how to put the basic security measures on your computer. And tell them that your son is a whiz at figuring stuff out. If it doesn't completely stop him, it will at least be a deterrent and you can take some action in the meantime. While he's at school, go in there and look at everything he's been looking at. Then have it completely erased and move the computer to a central location where you can monitor access. My sister (who does know a thing about computers, fortunately for her) went through this same thing with her similarly aged son. It was no picnic but basically she played his game...very well...and it scared the crap out of him. :) Needless to say, he is much more respectful of her and I don't think she has that problem any more.
