Dog dentist vs dental work at vets office? Advice?
Comments (26)Thanks lukkiirish. I got a call from my dog's internist specialist. She was her Dr at an emergency hospital most of last year when she became ill with an autoimmune disease (she was bleeding out and her platelets were near zero). Anyway the internist is up to date with her recovery and her blood work results. She said that a tooth root abscess isn't really an elective surgery and it needs to be done. She is confident that anesthesia will not be a problem for her in regards to her health, age or previous illness last year. Her blood work has been very good and she said to get it done. I feel better hearing that from her (a little!). I haven't been able to find much of anything on dogs who opted not to get a tooth extraction after a abscess but like socks mentioned of her sisters dog having to be on antibiotics schedule... which I don't want to have to do as I know it can be hard on the body. So as of now, it looks like she will do the extraction. Still have time so I'll monitor how she is feeling. The estimate was between $2500-3100. It's weird though because the swelling hasn't returned and she seems fine. She hasn't been wanting to go on our usual long walks lately but that might be the heat. When you have a older dog, you worry about every little thing!!!...See Morework office needs help
Comments (25)Good job. Templates too small for blue wall. Good size for behind desk. I like gallery walls to have clean lines on the outside: looks pulled together. Try this: move upper right up, so 2 top pieces are on same horizontal plane. Move bottom right down so 2 bottom arts are on same horizontal plane. Then you need only one filler between top and bottom right. Chairs look much better! Could few straggler boxes go to the right of the lateral file cabinet?...See MoreI want a nice home office
Comments (3)I would love to do jigsaw puzzles in front of that lovely window! In my old house, I had a table in the living room for that purpose. In my new house, I don't always have a puzzle in progress, so I use a card table. Do you need the couch? That wall would work for a computer desk. If the couch needs to stay, it can go in front of the window. In my experience, rooms become a "dumping ground" when there isn't a designated place for things. A bench with shoe storage might alleviate part of the problem. For other "junk", assess what gets dumped, and decide if those items have a home (and just didn't make it there), or if you need to establish a specific place for those items. If things have a home, but get left in the living room because it's convenient, and out of the way, that's a behavioral issue - you need to either train yourself (and family members) to put things away right away, or designate one day a week for putting everything away, or get rid of stuff! I know that is all easier said than done - good luck....See MoreWork office- need design help on new space!
Comments (16)Blue and Teal go together and work well with earth tones. The closeup of the carpet shows threads of blue and teal so of course! There are many shades of teal, so I agree, get your furnishings and decor first, then pick a wall color that goes with them and the carpet....See Morelacea
