Transunion credit report question
Comments (1)How frustrating! I'd continue to call them and pursue it. After sending them proof of Social Security once, I'd have stopped. But if they make you send it a 3rd time I'd do it by certified return receipt mail and ask them what happened to the other 2 submissions and who had access to it. I just requested my free annual credit report online from Transunion & Equifax. With Transunion I had a terrible time filling in the necessary information to verify who I was before getting the actual report. Good luck in your endeavor....See Moresocial security card stolen
Comments (8)thanks everyone. last night on the equifax site that rajun posted in SamKaren's post, DS did the 90 day alert. And it was sent to the other two credit companies. He won't be able to get a replacement DL until Tuesday. He has his old license that expired in 2005 in his new wallet. He had the spare key to his truck in his wallet also. Thank goodness the bad guys didn't find that and steal his truck. He drove my car to work this morn. The bad guys charged a redbox dvd. They tried to get a $100 cash advance that was declined, but they DID charge a little over $102 at a (as the chg card co. says..) convenience ret... I'm assuming that is convenience retail, lol So they are doing a fraud report. He spoke with the police department. I'm guessing the bad guys bought gas, what else could you buy for that much money at a convenience store? Beer and gas maybe? DS is soooo angry. Not too many people will match his pic and description on his drivers license! 6'6" 280 lbs. big BALD white guy! scary looking! lol he was in Hayden Lake, Idaho (the home of many neo=nazis) with his summer baseball team a few years ago. And the owner of a little convenience store confronted him and told him to get out, he didn't serve people like him. DS was like, "Ummmm, baseball players?" lol It took the coach and other team mates to talk the guy down and let DS buy dome food for lunch....See MoreAJ Madison / $500 credit for $250 on Living Social
Comments (6)Thanks kirkhall. I've never been called out as spam here before, but there may be some truth to this:) This is a legitimate deal, but I have to say, I haven't felt right since I posted the link to the deal. I've purchased a fair amount on AJ Madison (had good experiences and am always willing to give them a plug) and occasionally purchased from groupon and living social. Got to say - the whole competitive spirit generated by Living Social takes away from the generous feeling here on GW....See Morecan social security be denied?
Comments (7)When applying for DISABILITY benefits, you agree to report income from work or self-employment and/or a medical improvement in your condition. Your friend may not have fully understood this when he first applied. However, since your friend is over age 62, he MAY be eligible for RETIREMENT (not Disability) benefits. These benefits would be reduced for age since your friend is younger than full retirement age. Have him ask Social Security for more information. If he is indeed overpaid, he has several options- pay back the full amount in one lump sum, spread out the debt by monthly refunds, or file for Reconsideration or Waiver. "Reconsideration" means he disagrees with the facts of the overpayment. If he wants to have the overpayment waived (forgiven), he will have to prove that 1. he did not cause the overpayment AND 2. that it will cause him financial hardship to pay it back. Again, contact Social Security. Visit your local office in person or call 1-800-772-1213 for information and/or an appointment....See MoreUser
