It's getting harder to find a TV that's not "smart."

I've been thinking about moving my living room TV upstairs and getting a new one. My present one is hooked up to a computer, which I use mostly to play DVDs and Amazon Prime movies and shows. I figured I'd probably avoid getting a smart TV because of the increased cost (and, I assume, the inability to play DVDs), but then I read this:

It told me way more than I knew about smart TVs, and now I really don't want one.

In the stores and online, though, smart TVs are definitely trending, and likely to take over the market. I need a TV with a 120 Hz refresh rate (no, I'm not a gamer), and managed to find one in the size I want without the "smart" features. The way things are going, I think I should stop savoring the anticipation of my new toy and snatch it up quickly.
