Lost my contacts

I have never been completely satisfied with Windows Live Mail 2012, so I decided to download and install Thunderbird e-mail program on my Windows 7 Home Premium desktop computer. In my zeal to make the change, I installed Thunderbird, making it my default desktop program. Then, without thinking of the consequences, I uninstalled Windows Live Mail without exporting the Contact list. I do not have Contacts listed in gmail, which is my server. Is there a way I can recover the contact list I had in Windows Live Mail? I would so like to import it into Thunderbird. As things stand now, I have no address book except for one name I just added.

To add to that it's possible you may find something here,

C/users/Your name/AppData/local/Microsoft/windows/live mail.

AppData is a hidden folder so you will need to show hidden files & folders in win7 to see it.

Thanks. Did that. Tried a few things on my own and everything they've suggested. Spent over an hour on the phone with Apple tech support today. You're right - there are many, many people having the same problem! Still no solutions for me...

That explains why in searching I was not able to find AppData. Now it's unhidden.

No, it was not there. However, I re-installed WLM, and there are all my contacts. I exported as .csv, but I'm having trouble importing full name as well as e-mail address to Thunderbird. I think it's because I don't know how to use spreadsheets (never used Office), so not all the information is transferring. Maybe I can find a neighbor who can help me with this.
