Okay, I can do this, right?!?
We're planning to move in mid-March to my new husband's old stomping grounds in the U.P. of Michigan to establish a sustainable homestead. He says March is still mid-winter, but I think he's just trying to scare me, right? I understand it's cold in the U.P., and the gardening rules are going to be much different than that to which I'm accustomed in Zone 7. Do you have any advice to help me get started? Smart-alek hubby just told me, "Ya, youbetcha, for starters, get a Stormy Kromer and some swampers." (Whatever that means.)
P.S. We just traveled the U.P. for our honeymoon in the fall, and I'm already in love with Yooper cuisine--have taught myself to make a mean pasty, though the Yooper insists on covering it with ketchup. ;-)
