Bub. Another C3D story......
Comments (79)Hiya Lovely. Our dearest Bub did NOT die. She is still very much alive and Grackle-ish! :-) We have had other Grackle youngsters die soon after arrival but Bub is going strong since her arrival in 2006. :-) Riboflavin .... I do not know of any *real* dose for the ~curled toe paralysis~ but usually one can get or order the 100 mg. tablets. Generally I mix in 1/8 of a 100 mg. tablet with the baby cereal I feed and use that with each feeding. What they do not need gets pooped out. ( Actually peed out but no matter....) Depending on how severe the problem is ... the paralysis or weakness will reverse within a few days to a week. How much of a baby is your crow? Depending on the age they need to be fed between every 15 minutes to every hour from about 5:00 AM to about 10:00 PM. I use Nutri-Start baby bird cereal mixed 50 /50 with a jarred baby food like Gerber's strained beef or strained turkey. Cut the riboflavin tablet into 1/4s then 1/2 those pieces again. Place the 1/8 piece in a piece of folded wax paper and crush it by rolling a can of dog food or other canned product over it. Mix this powder in with your baby cereal mixture. It will become a bright yellow. Please be warned that the baby's poop will become bright yellow too and it DOES STAIN anything it comes in contact with. Have you ever fed a baby bird? That is to say place food in the crop? If not it may be best to contact an avian veterinarian to get some advice on how to do this or get in touch with a rehabber to take over. Crows are a native species and for the long term one should not keep them without a federal permit. They may become imprinted on you and never be able to be released. Having said that ... How very kind of you to care enough to try to save the little crow! :-) If you are unable to contact an outside source of help ... I can talk you through how to tube feed a baby bird if you do not know how to do this. I'll check in at about 7:00PM EST. OK? Thanks for taking the time to care! C3D...See MorePrinting In 3D
Comments (13)oh it is true it all has to do with the scanner they use it is a 3D scanner so it can detect the differences in the gears and and levels of the item. Some of those other videos are really mind blowing. to make your teeth though they would need some to scan LOL so not sure that would work....See MoreRecommendations for Reliable W/D Set Under $1500?
Comments (16)I purchased my Samsung front-loader used 2 months ago, and wash approx. 6 loads/week. The guy had do sell it as he was moving to a condo & they would not allow it. I LOVE it! I really wasn't looking for a front-loader, too many problems from what I saw. But this one came up for sale on Craigslist and the guy raved about it, and the Samsungs just seemed to have great reviews! Mine is in the basement so I don't get to appreciate how quiet it is. It's cool to watch how it will "fix" itself if it becomes unbalanced, something that when my old washer did, it sounded like it was trying to break down the laundry room door! This one simply stops rotating, then starts up again in the opposite direction until it's balanced again. It does a great job getting the clothes clean, and uses an amazingly small amount of detergent & water. Mine has the "Silvercare" which means it uses silver ions to clean well in cold water. The HE detergent really isn't that much more expensive because you use SO much less. Thanks for reading my 2 cents worth....See MoreBest home features/projects under $1,000
Comments (20)If you have to pay for labor, there isn't a lot that 1K can buy. DIY is the key. New laminate countertops in a kitchen, even a pretty large kitchen, can be done for under 1K if you DIY. A pretty tile backsplash. Even at a relatively pricy $30 a square foot for something special, it's still under 1K for the average kitchen if you DIY. New knobs and pulls, DIY again. It's pretty easy to go overboard on this, but doing it under 1K should be doable. New tile floor, DIY. Even if you have to buy a wetsaw, there are plenty of bargain tiles out there that look great! Replace a window with a french door. If you're OK with a moderate priced door and can DIY it yourself, including redoing the exterior and interior trim, you can do this for under 1K. The bigger factor will be if you have the right sized window to change out where you don't have to reframe any of the headers. A paver patio adds a lot to any landscape and is inexpensive to DIY. A 10 x 12 patio and some new furniture can be done for under 1K. A new landscaped garden bed with a focal point like a pretty bird bath or new mail box can be done for well under 1K, and that's with decorative edging as well. A new accent chair in a funky color can be had for under 1K. You can also roam Craig's List and recycle an older one with new upholstery. A basic new stainless steel refrigerator can be had for under 1K, especially with the Cash for Clunkers appliance rebates that many states are offering. There is plenty that can be done for under 1K that dramatically impacts a home's current livability and will still be appealing at resale time....See MoreAtomicJay007
