I have done some crossing of true CC and Thanksgiving cacti. I have lots of colors and bloom time differences in the offspring. When they get more buds open I was going to make a post about them. I think what Laura has is a cross between a true CC and a Thanksgiving cacti. I have one that is similar, a cross between a white Zygo and my true CC, I also have one that is a cross between a Limelight Zygo and true CC and it is similar, and they both have the early bloom time. I have one that is a cross between the true CC and a red Zygo that has the late bloom time. It doesn't have buds this year, at least not yet. My true CC has buds now, and many of my Zygos bloom for Halloween. I can't send anything in the mail now, it is too cold. But if Linda emails me and is willing to wait until next May I could send cuttings of true CC. A woman on the C&S forum just bought a very large old true cc on Craigslist. It's pretty neat. AWESOME new pics, Mike, so fun to see. It's great to have some plants that LOVE our blast furnace summers isn't it? You've got a ton of eye candy going on there. Great stuff! I posted a separate thread on crinum lilies, but just for fun here's 'Ellen Bosanquet' in bloom this morning. Plus good old "climbing snapdragon", Asarina scandens still flowering in full hot sun on a metal obelisk that gets insanely hot in full sun in summer. Asarina doesn't seem to mind at all (available in pinks, reds, whites, and this purple-blue): Not blooming, but here's a fun 7 foot tall spineless prickly pear, Opuntia ficus-indica, that I started from a single pad six years ago. Wilson the tennis ball is wedged in there to show size, LOL. This is looking ESE in my little garden. Happy gardening all! Grant

Named ones= Begonia " Richardsiana" B." Snow Capped " B. "Tea Rose" B. "Hot Tamale" B. "Good and Plenty " B, "Tiny Gem " B. " Silver Queen " The Richardsiana has in pass week took a big flop , and so not sure whats up with it , taken it back into house , hope it was just heat stroking from 100 + daze we have been in for pass couple of weeks here in nastyville , so not sure about it. Two other's unknown named ones but pretty just the same and last one I think mite be B. " Sophia Cecile " not sure. I see you have " My Special Angel " have been looking at it in the catalogs . sorry I'm so long winded.... but sure there must be something in your long list that we can work with . P.s.
