Wood chips: big pile, wrong spot
Comments (5)While you don't have to rush right out and move the pile immediately, I wouldn't recommend leaving them in place indefinitely. 4-5" is a bit thick for mulch over tree root systems - I'd not go more than 3". Applying them directly as mulch now is of little concern - it's only when they are worked into the soil that any issues of nitrogen depletion arise and that can be easily compensated for. They also make a great path material through planting beds or other, informal areas and keep mud to a minimum....See MoreBig paint chip mistake

Comments (6)"LOL - I'm sure it violates code somewhere, however there are no codes where we live." I hear all the time that 'there are no codes where we live' only to find that the builder and owner has absolutely no clue that there ARE Codes in place for their jurisdiction and that they ARE required to build to a State or Local standard. That said, unless you provide more information about precisely where you live including WHAT STATE and WHAT MUNICIPALITY so that we can determine under what Codes you are required to build...NO ONE CAN HELP YOU and you are wasting your time here. So please provide the information asked. And I thank you in advance....See MoreSink Flange/Strainer?
