Help with Draperies in living room
Comments (10)Very pretty room and I do like the curtains. I just think they're not hung to the room's, the window's, and the curtains' advantage. Right now, the curtains swamp the window and wall, without any necessary "breathing space". I'd remove the framed art at left and the flower mirror (?) at right, and then extend the curtain rod to allow the panels on each side to be stacked back, so they are just outside the window area, not overlapping the window, during the day. https://fredgonsowskigardenhome.com/2011/05/03/the-right-way-to-hang-curtains-and-drapes/ When you're done, you should have room on the left to rehang the flower mirror....See MoreStruggling with my living room! Comments (1)not quite sure on what difference is? ok, so unless you really want it, we will remove the second couch from the room. also can you put the tv into one of the cabinets? if not then you should move the couch in front of the windows and place tv on the big wall. do you own any of the chairs showing?...See MoreLiving room/dining room drapes - the same but different?
Comments (25)Full shutter over entire space. Louvered so you could let some light come through, when desired. Then you could put art on each side if you wished. If you wanted shelves on the kitchen side, the shutters could be designed to open into the living room, but I would see then as closed with a hook of hardware and not necessarily operational from an open and close point of view. Only the louvers would open and close....See Morerevamping room, struggling with rug choices!
Comments (0)I’m struggling with rug choices. My mud room/garage entry area is a high traffic area. My husband is going to finish our bench area with cabinets and such! We will paint it to look like a piece of furniture.. but i thinking about a round rug at the entry door mainly because of my vent in the floor and a area in front of the bench. I feel like the room is too wide for just a runner ! What do u guys think? When you come in the door i have the bench /hall tree to right and then a door to party on right with a laundry room door to the left. Walking through a cased opening to living room and kitchen. Everything is changing in this room paint and decore! Thought i would pull a color from the rug for the walls! What about a board and batten wainscoting? I have 9ft ceiling but it is a small room Room size is 4’5” x 9’11” Simple plans for hall tree/coats...See MoreTee
