My daughter loves bath bombs...how do you make them? I am sure I can google it.

There are a lot of recipes on pinterest. I just made them one time but really was happy with the results. Plain peppermint/eucalyptus were great. I still have to look for some tips but I went with a simple one with cornstarch, citric acid, baking soda, almond oil (I used MCT oil), water and fragrance. Sorry, I can't find the recipe I used and have to search up a new one but the basic one seemed to work fine. I used a miniature silicone snowman mold which made 24 and it was the perfect amount for the recipe. I wish I saved it.

When my daughter was in high school, we made bath bombs and bath salts for her girl friends for Christmas presents. It was a lot of fun and they turned out really nice. We got the recipe off of the internet....this before Pinterest. We used clear plastic Christmas ornaments as a mold....the kind you can take apart to put things in to hang on the tree. It made some nice big bath bombs. We didn't put anything extra in them.

I like the fizzy kind. I wouldn't want leaves and twigs in. Pomander, yes, but not in the tub! I only want something that will fully dissolve.

I wouldn't want any bits of stuff that would leave a mess to clean up or potentially clog my drain. They otherwise sound nice!

I remember making bath salts from an interesting how-to online one time. It called for rock salt like you use in an old fashioned ice cream maker. I had some, so I tried it. Those large chunks of salt don't melt into the bath water right away, and it was like sitting on a bed of gravel in the tub.

If I remember correctly, the salt we used was epsom salts.

I've found bath bombs leave a bit of a ring anyway from the oils in them. I wouldn't add things to them like the tea leaves etc, it might look nice but all those things will just end up floating in the bath after the bomb dissolves and I can imagine someone getting out of the bath with bits of that stuck all over them. I would just keep them to simple scented ones.

I ended up not adding anything. Plus they were a bust after all. I gave the first batch to a few friends and when we pulled them out the paper bag they were sad little snowmen that turned kind of soggy. I did make a second batch (a different recipe), which I already shipped out back home, so I guess I will see how those ones held up once they get them as I didn't save any.
