Help with ideas to decorate space around TV stand
Comments (2)Here are more pictures of the whole wall. I already have a giant round silver mirror to hang in middle of wall. That fan will be going eventually just low on list, I am just pretending it's not there. thanks...See MoreNeed help decorating around TV
Comments (7)I'm assuming you're going to keep the console for now. I would move it towards the window with nothing between it and the window. Right now it is just off-center and not looking balanced. Then clear away everything to the right of the TV. The small picture to the left of the window is squashed in and should be moved elsewhere too. No ladder. No plant on the ledge above the window. Keep the focus of the room low. It would be helpful to have a picture of that wall from wider back, because I don't think your large picture should be on that upper wall space. IMO that upper area should be blank and the art work elsewhere, maybe to the left of the TV with a small cabinet under it. I'd also move the small pictures that are on the shelf below the TV. Arrange them on a picture ledge (Ikea has them) in a hallway at eye level. They can't really be seen where they are, and they are too small to look good. Buy 4 wide wood or wicker baskets and put them on those shelves. Empty or with useful stuff in them....See MoreDecorating around TV
Comments (5)such a large room, and everything is squished up close together! spread them out and give it some breathing room! did you used to live in a small home w/8' ceilings and a tiny living room? Because that's how you have this one set up. Take advantage of that space. what's behind the sofa? You really need a longer console. And I'd mount the tv to the wall. you could do some art like this, but the tv should be only 2/3rd the size of the length of console. 'like this one you could even do something like this for that entire wall. you wouldn't need art with ceilings this tall, you need something like this. notice the console, the tv, and the art. console, tv on wall, but notice how the sides are eaten up w/the tall plant (you need a tall plant in that corner) and a chair on the other side. these others show how to decorate w/the tall ceilings....See MoreWall Decor around Television
Comments (37)Okay I went ahead and hung sheers that I had purchased for another room. I know they are too long but I don't want to hem them if they don't look right for this room. If this looks fine I will order another pair. The large window has two panels on the one side. Once the end tables get here I think it will look so much better. I have decide on a plant to go beside the tv on one side. I will go to Home Depot tomorrow to find one I like. Now to decide what goes on the other side....See Morepschr
