That's beautiful! I love how you used the spindles to make the arm rests! And the decorative one on the bottom front of it. That's just absolutely charming! Perfect spot for it,the table and bench just go together. And great job on the stenciling,too.

There are pictures.(below) One tip I would pass along, when using the footboard for the arms, esp with queen or kings, is to figure out how deep you want the seat to be. Just cutting the footboard in half may make it a lot deeper than you'd want it. DH made one, and it's so deep it can be used for a daybed. Not good when you're looking for cushions. Of course you can MAKE a cushion if you're handy that way. Here is a link that might be useful: bed to bench

Certainly!!! As long as it is upholstered! Otherwise, I would not risk it. All the hardware will be a pain, no guarantee any of it will line up. Not worth the risk. For an upholstered? Just make sure the specs/dimensions suit the bed. Best way to install is to get a headboard with legs, open space between those legs. Get a 1 x 4 cut to span the bed width distance, attach it behind !!! the legs of the headboard , and then screw that board to the wall. Shove the storage bed up against it. I attach every custom headboard I make for clients, in this way.No shake and rattle. And when you want to move the bed? Much much much easier for spring cleaning. : ) This is attached to the wall....... nobody knows. The bed itself is NOT. No matter the shape, color anything...........note the one below.That's how you do it, that board between/behind the legs? yes, Screwed to the wall. Cut AWAY fabric on the legs, before you drill.: ) otherwise......ugh.
