Black spots on Sungold & Sunsugar yellow cherry tomatoes

Bug? Disease? Deficiency? When I slice off these spots I cannot see any bug or any hint that helps me identify their cause. Moreover, the spots are smooth and very black and they do not look chewed upon (the photo belies this a little due to the flash). Every tomato has one or two.

The black spots appear ONLY on these two varieties of yellow cherry tomato. The plants are inter-planted with several other varieties (no others are yellow cherries) which do not have these spots.

These spots have appeared on Sungold and Sungar for several years in a row. I love the tomatoes and would like to solve this.

Any help in identifying will be greatly appreciated.
