'Search' broken, Deleted posts? A fix.
Comments (2)I have also noticed some posts are not coming up in searches anymore. I would recommend not using the search feature here and instead searching using Google as follows: bagging site:http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/fruit for e.g. a search for posts with "bagging" in this forum. The "site:" restricts it to this forum only, not the whole Internet. Scott...See MoreFamily Dome Tents, a search for a good one...
Comments (7)We have purchased the Sierra Designs Bedouin 6 tent off Ebay for $183.00. I've set it up inside our garden room and there's room for four large ThermaRest pads and room to cruise up the middle. The tent is only 8 square feet larger in area than our SD Base Camp '88 model, but the headroom is over six feet so it feels a lot larger. I really like the bends in the X-poles and the as-always top-shelf quality of Sierra Designs products. I counted 27 different pockets in the tent, really like the adjustable clothesline too. There are three different dual cupholders attached to the tent, they are mesh and also have small pockets above them. The dual vestibules are a nice feature that the Agnes Big House didn't offer. Brow poles make them possible and don't require stooping for entry like most vestibules. The amount of mesh is just right, there's ventilation but with the fly there is heat retention as well. We're taking it into the back country next month for camping in the Laguna Mountains....See MoreYet another top load HE machine search
Comments (10)Well, LG has actually updated the suspension on their newest top loaders. They support brakets are metal and four additional shock absorbers were added to the tub. Not trying to make you buy an LG but "just sayin'". I posted a picture of the new sytem here - reply number three. http://www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?50290 Samsung will be releasing new top loaders with a didicated Waterproof cycle. But I don't know when they will hit the market. These units were just shown at CES a couple of days ago. Between the Whirlpool vs Maytag - Eco Boost vs. Water Save Spray Rinse - Drum Light button vs. not available - nothing vs. Power Wash cycle - Perm Press/Casual vs. not available (maybe the Towels/Colors cycle) - Towels cycle vs. Towels/Colors cycle - two-digit display vs. four-digit display That's about what I can see from looking at the control panel. The Maytag also comes with a longer warranty on the motor and tub (although most washers with this type of motor have the same warranty these days, so it's nothing exceptional in my opinion...). The Whirlpool has the same motor, by the way. Between the two, I'd probably... go... for... the Maytag. Alex...See MoreNew realtor dot com sucks - recommend another search site?
Comments (18)Thanks jojoco. I found another national site that I think I really like - Trulia. Not only can you search for active listings (and by lot size!), you can also find sold homes in that same area. It gives you all kinds of stats about the local market and such. I wonder, though, how accurate and up to date that info is. It says no homes have sold in my area in the last 60 days; however, I know of a couple of homes that have sold recently or are at least pending. Another site I found is homes dot com. It seems to be good and like realtor dot com sometimes gives addresses when local sites won't disclose the address - which I really appreciate. Has anyone used Trulia? What are your thoughts? Here is a link that might be useful: Trulia...See More- 10 years ago
