Jeffhussey, I had to laugh when I read your comment. The women in my family are notorious for wearing clothes again. When I was younger, my mother made the mistake of pointing out, in her former bedroom at Grandma's house, the rocking chair she had used for wear-agains - and mentioned that she knew it was time to put those clothes in either the closet or the laundry when the chair tipped over backwards! Back in those days, most clothes needed ironing, so I shudder to think what the bottom layers looked like. I vote for your hooks!

A shower bench and shower niche: my preference is for a stool of water-tolerant wood that can be moved to where it is needed instead of a cold, tiled, fixed bench that, invariably, will be the wrong height and width for me to use. The niche pictured may work for a single user of the shower, but when 2 or more people use the same shower, you get a lot more products and accessories piled on those skinny "niche" shelves! Certainly, in a master bath, I would insist on his-&-hers niches, with internal shelves as pictured, but not necessarily identical in size and shape, thank you. I'm ur current circumstances are a good advertisement for building EVERY new construction or renovation with UD principles; you never know when, why, or for how long you will need them! Plan ahead!! The hand shower spray gets my 2 thumbs up, as does the interrupter for Navy showers. Oh, yeah, you bet I ant a towel warmer, however it gets the job done! Best ever was getting a towel fresh out of the dryer, delivered right when it was needed (usually in response to "Mom! There are no towels in the bathroom!"). Unless you have a tub with a deck surround (which is not at all one of my favorite styles), you need a place to put your novel (or magazine) and the glass of wine (or whatever - sometimes it's single-malt!) and remote for the sound system; I could skip the bath tv altogether, just give me the music. Pull-outs in the closet? I vote yes on the shelf and valet rods, no on the ironing board; I want a full size, full featured, sturdy ironing board, which, when used properly, does not need to take up space in my closet, because it has its own designated position in the laundry room, right next to the shelf with outlet for the iron, and right across from the laundry sink to fill the steam reservoir. Ample lighting is sort of a no-brainier, whether we're talking closet, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, or anywhere at all. I personally am not the biggest fan of ceiling lights, unless it's a skylight or light tube. I do like wall sconces, both electrical and old fashioned, and have gotten very fond of floor lamps of many varieties: up lights, down lights, soft glow, focused task lights. There's my two cents on the subject. Except for what I would add: a kitty toilet room, one for each floor in the house, including finished attics and basements, complete with motion-sensor operated exhaust fan (on the exit side, not the entrance, unless it's less than whisper loud) and - oh, please - an automatic flusher that eliminates the need to scoop! ;-)

Here's good reason to proofread BEFORE clicking submit! The bathtub accessory I was aiming for is a tray that goes across, over the bubbles, to hold the novel, glass, and sound system remote! Oops!
