Pycnanthemum tenuifolium

Just found a wild population of pycnanthemum tenuifolium here in New Hampshire. At least a million plants. I do not know how common this plant is in New England. If you have any info, please post it here.
A true prairie plant. Seems to prefer full sun and soil that drains quickly. May not like poor sandy soil. Forms dense mats of both living and dead stems. The seeds are often retained by the dead stems for an entire year, or maybe longer. This creates a massive "seed bank" just waiting for their turn to germinate.
