My sister and I got together and we spent roughly 19 hours (38 man hours) to accomplish this: They're addicting to make. lol! They're called Polish stars (google for video instructions). We got much better and faster as we figured out what worked best for each of us.

IF your worried about the light, then use the flash. Spiders stop moving when you shoot them head on, pose your bug moving them with a stick. They don't want you to notice them..becoming prey themselves(jumping spiders are the exception, always moving). Use a tripod and ISO 100. Ladybugs on the other hand move constantly. I use a flash and they just look shiny. :0) You can shoot through a magnifying glass too.....

No, I haven't heard the safety argument from my family. My daughter drives late model, high-end cars and thinks the Caprice is a) old, and b) will nickle-and-dime me to death. That doesn't seem likely. My son loves it as much as I do. My other vehicle is a Subaru, which is noted for safety. I'm glad it has that reputation, with air bags galore, but I feel just as safe in the Caprice. I love having all that metal between me and the drunks.
