Half Cats
Comments (3)I always referred to cats of your age as teenager kitties, Acorn. I found out my cousins did as well and got a chuckle out of that. They just are so adolescent. Still have the old nick in them (do cats ever not?) and have those long lanky legs and want mothering, but pretend they don't because it might make them look less than self assured. I cannot imagine this house without its resident cats, nor can I imagine me without cat fur underfoot. I have four at the moment. A large and gentle Tom with obstipation, an elderly half siamese tabby who adores me and must lay across my shoulders at every chance like a fur boa, and who screams when I put her down. Then I have the rescued three-legged feral who is a blue and her daughter, a willowy grey shorthair who loves to be noticed but pulls away from touch as if she is autistic. Each one is their own personality and I believe that is why I love cats. They don't bend a bit in expressing their read psyche....See MoreAnother Animal Communication Post
Comments (3)Animals are so much more perceptive than we are; they can hear our thoughts, but do we ever hear theirs?.. Today there was a story on tv about a Rottweiler who saved her owner's life. She & her owner went for a hike every day. Every single day she got all excited & bounded into the car & they went to a wooded area & took a long hike. One day she hung back & tried to get back in the house & just did not want to go. The owner finally got her in the car & off they went. He had a heart attack on the trail. The dog went & got help. If he'd listened to her, he would have been within reach of the telephone when he had the attack. &, he acknowledged, if she hadn't been with him on the trail, he wouldn't be here today....See MoreFabric burn test on RocLon Muslin
Comments (4)Thank you daylilydayzed. I did check the Roc-lon web site, hoping there was only one 108", but they have a 108" blend too. They both say they have shrinkage, the cotton seems to have less though. Wide Crease Resistant Muslin - 70% Polyester/30% Cotton, Permanent Press Finish 108" says Preshrunk (2-3% Residual Shrinkage) Wide Permanent Press Muslin - 100% Cotton, Permanent Press Finish - 108" says Preshrunk (3-5% Residual Shrinkage) Anyhoo, I guess I have the 100% Cotton, gladly! Comments (1)I'm thinking most liners they sell are blackout liners, which reduce the amount of light coming into the room. These are being sold to be used along with your unlined drape. They could be installed on rings and pulled separately behind a panel. Roclon is a fabric choice for lining, which provides a neutral color to the street side and protects your face fabric from the sun. I prefer to use a heavier lining such as thermalsuede, or blackout lining and usually add interlining, a flannel lining, for extra body and insulation when fabricating window treatments....See Morelarsi_gw
