Had a minor issue with the drain in the back of the fridge. Contacted customer service and they were responsive and very helpful. I think customer service is on Mountain time so I was able to reach them after work on the East Coast. The problem was resolved in about 5minutes. Discovered a blueberry had rolled into the drain. Poured bleach down the hole and it was resolved. I actually love the ice maker. It's makes small ice cubes which I actually prefer because most of my glasses are tall and thin. The only issue I have had with the ice maker is that when you aggresively scoop ice out of the drawer, ice can come out of the side and prevent the drawer from being pushed back completely. This prevents the contact switch from activating for more ice to be made. Just watch out for this and it should not be a problem. One other thing I wanted to note is that I have always hooked my ice maker up to an Everpure filter. I have not had any issue with scale build up or any of the general ice maker complaints. One of the comments I see on the board all the time is how flimsy the Liebherr plastic drawers look like. This is one area where I think people judge a book by its cover. They are lighter and sleeker than conventional drawers but they are very sturdy. I have dropped them many items when cleaning them without damage. Good luck!

Hi Kimberly, Great questions. I understand what you're trying to accomplish and would be happy to give you some input. In regards to the column refrigeration, going with the the Frigidaire branded columns is something I see many people do (when you don't want to spend $12-14k for the sub-zero's). That said, I would not recommend the Frigidaire "Gallery" series, and instead suggest you look at the Frigidaire "Professional" Series. The difference between the two series is in aesthetics of the door fronts. The Professional Series will have the 'Pro-Style' handle, which matches MUCH more closely to the Wolf/Bluestar range handles. I also think the surrounding trim kit accessory blends in much more with the pro-style handle than the Gallery series, which uses a flat curved handle (more euro style). Two bits of info you should keep in mind when purchasing these: 1) The Frigidaire columns are not 30" wide like Sub-Zero... they are actually 32" wide (each). The trim kit will also add to the required width cutout in the cabinet. So if you want to install them side by side with the trim kit, your cabinet opening width needs to be a total of 66". Important that the cabinet maker knows this as it can alter the design/plans they came up with so far. 2) The stainless steel doors on the Frigidaire (gallery or pro) is Finger-Print Resistant. While this is no doubt a wonderful feature, the color of the stainless will be noticeably different than the stainless color of the Wolf/Bluestar (or any other brand. If the fridge/freezer are on a wall by themselves, without any adjacent appliances, you wont notice this really. But if you have another appliances right next to them you will definitely notice it. "Mind over matter", if you dont mind, then it don't matter! : ) Frigidaire Professional does not make a 'pre built, all-in-one' micro/oven combo..but they do make them as separate units which you can install directly above and below each other. You would have a small 1-2" piece of cabinet between them but it achieves the same thing. I recommend you consider these so that you have them match the fridge/freezer. I've seen issues with them ranging from noise complaints to service issues and it's not something I would buy having the choice. You are better off buying a 'Panel-Ready' dishwasher which accepts a wood panel (that the cabinet maker orders) as the door front. It hides the dishwasher completely and you don't need to worry about matching it now with the stainless/handles of other appliances. Go with Bosch or Miele for the brand dishwasher. Both are rated incredibly well and are designed to take a wood panel and sit flush with the cabinetry (so you wouldn't even know it's a dishwasher at all!) Bosch will be less expensive by a few hundred dollars than the Miele without sacrificing quality. Hope this was of help to you, thanks. - Brian

@Suzanne Giomi, ahhhh! Ok, this is making sense now. I know you listed some prices above, but remind me how much more is the fridge column with 2 drawers (with your Wolf discount) for you vs the fridge column without drawers (with discount)? You seem to really love the over/under option with freezer drawers, so that is what I am leaning toward for you, considering your budget may be a little flexible? I think in the end, you will be very happy and even if roughly 2,000 more, this choice is for many years to come right? Ok, I have to get your opinion then on the fridge over/under, as far as the drawers go. Do you think produce might get lost in the drawers vs. in the drawers of the single column? Again, I have not seen the over/under in person, but the one thing I don't want, is to be rummaging through deep drawers for produce. Are there lots of dividers so this would not be an issue? What do you personally like better about the drawers vs having everything organized on shelves in the full column and also in the interior drawers of the full column? Hopefully this makes sense! This thread has opened a whole new can of worms for me!

I'll assume you meant JennAir vs. Electrolux/Frigidaire. yes? Regardless, I agree that unless you have a very large kitchen, 66" of refrigerator/freezer seems like a lot. If you really need that much storage, consider getting panel front versions so it looks like it's part of the cabinetry. I personally owned a 36" Jenn-air bottom freezer fridge in my last home, and it was a good unit. Never had any problems with it. All that said, do you really want a side by side unit? I find those freezers hold very little. Have you considered doing a 24" column freezer and a 30" column fridge?
