No tips, but I wish we thought of that! Too late now

I've wondered HOW people keep TVs on their back porches without ruining them in the weather.

My one thought: You don't want those doors to flap over the screen while you're watching it ... so I'd consider some sort of "hook" (or something) to hold them back.

I haven't been to a street of dreams for a few years, but I remember there often being tvs under large covered patios. They were just on wall mounts up high on the exterior wall and angled down. No furniture surround or anything.

What's your climate? Certain TVs simply don't work in low temps, or prematurely fail.

street of dreams looks cool. my patio isn't that large, and my dreams are bigger than the street i'm building on, but there were some pretty magnificent homes up there.

I'm thinking about using a french cleat on a wall mount and keeping the TV inside when not in use. At least during the middle of summer and through the winter.

I don't think it's good to move a tv around that much. What about some kind of window and setting it up permanently on the interior of the house. You could install wireless outdoor speakers outside for it.

We put a tv under a covered patio. Mounted above the brick fireplace. We debated whether or not to do a cabinet around it and eventually decided against the cabinet. Was also considering outdoor-rated TV but the price is too high. Indoor TVs are so cheap now, if it fails prematurely we'll just buy another one.
