Do you have a Thanksgiving tv episode you like? I can only think of Paul Blart, Mall Cop for a movie. My two favorites are WKRP in Cincinnati turkey drop and the Everybody Love's Raymond, Tofurkey episode. Those huge quivering legs on the platter, ick! Hilarious scenes. Just make me laugh so hard!

Hmm...I can't think of a Thanksgiving tv episode. I keep recalling The Diner Party episode on The Office, and the evaporated-to-dust turkey on Christmas Vacation!

1) Favorite of all Thanksgiving foods? My favorite is a non-traditional dish - Cottage Cheese Loaf - I'm from a vegetarian family and it's our turkey stand-in. I only make it for Thanksgiving to keep it special. Leftovers make yummy sandwiches too. 2) Do you watch one of the Thanksgiving Day parades on tv? No. I can't remember ever watching a parade on Thanksgiving. 3) Do you have a special T-Day breakfast or is it every man for him/her self? If yes, what is it??? No set breakfast menu, but we do eat together. 4) Hosting or being hosted this year? I always do the planning/cooking even if we travel. This year we're staying home so it will just be me, DH and the kids. Not sure that counts as Hosting... 5) Dine in or out? In 7) Do you dress up for T Day or take the more casual approach? We usually dress up a bit. 8) What's your usual post-dinner activity (football game? walk? nap? chat with company? play a game?) Visiting if extended family is involved, no football, sometimes a walk if it's not too cold and windy. 9) Favorite Day After T-Day meal? Leftover pie, cottage cheese loaf sandwiches 10) What do you do for the rest of T-Day Weekend? Put up Christmas decs? Vegg out? We just like to hang out and relax. We try to avoid the Black Friday craziness, so no shopping. 11) Do you consider Thanksgiving the start of the Christmas Season? No. Thanksgiving is a much bigger deal at our house then Christmas. We even do our gift exchanges on Thanksgiving. Christmas is really low key, just a simple meal on Christmas Day. I do a little winter decorating but the only real Christmas décor is the Nativity that comes out Christmas week. Easy Peasy. 12) Do you start watching Christmas movies over the T Day weekend? I did not see the show. Did he mean that smokey turkey does not go with the other traditional dishes served at Thanksgiving like the cranberry sauce and other family favorites? That would make sense. Make a smoked turkey. Just make sure the sides and deserts play well with it. No one say that you have to cook certain foods on certain days either. You don't have to cook a turkey on T-Day nor are you forbidden to cook and serve one any other time of the year.

The WKRP Thanksgiving turkey give away show is a true classic. It is still fun to watch. That was a great show in it's day. I miss Johnny Fever! Lol

I love the tofurkey episode and the one where Patricia Heaton decides to serve fish to establish h]er own tradition. And I think I remember her wrestling with a big turkey.

Having grown up in Cincinnati, i always really enjoyed WKRP. The Thanksgiving episode was one of the most memorable. Oh the humanity.

The actor who played "Venus Fly Trap" lived in the central Virginia area for a number of years, when he was moving out of the area, My wife and I looked at his house. Although it wasn't quite right for us, a friend of ours bought the place.

I think the show, Friends would have a Thanksgiving show every year. One or more of those episodes had one of the characters get their head lodged inside a turkey.

In one of the Mr Bean Christmas specials Mr Bean had his head lodged in a turkey. He was looking for the watch he had lost while stuffing it.
