Thanks for the links to how to upload photos..I'm not too excited about yet another subscription to use an external site for my photos just to do this..The "test" page brings up a "browse" box which I assumed allowed you to pull up your image, but when I actually went to post, only the URL box showed up. I'll have to look into this a little more to see if there is anyway to avoid using another service. KitchenAddict & Circuspeanut - I Love your kitchens! KitchenAddict, if I ever get these posted, you'll see that we alomost have the same countertop, faucet, and all of us are even using white roller shades! (Tip- They can be hung backwords so you don't see the roll but the opening on the fastener is at the bottom so it could fall out easier. If you don't open and close it a lot, it's well worth it. I'm just super careful when I do it. For me, it's just a quick fix until I figure out what I want to use but considering painting a cool pattern on mine once I get a little further along into the project. I'll share those too as this progresses. Thanks for sharing the photos, they help a lot...Still hoping for more! Would love to see someone who has taken the tile all the way up around the sink window to help me decide.

I was typing my response when the web-page crashed. I hate that ! Anyway - just wanted to say thanks to Roamer14 for those additional pictures. The tiles look great. Is that typhoon bordeaux granite by any chance ? It looks similar. I went to a tile store on saturday and they told me inserts could not be used with 3 x 6 arranged in a subway pattern. Obviously they were WRONG. I'm so glad I decided to post and ask this forum for advice and pictures. I'm FINALLY ready to order my backsplash tiles this week ! Hurrah ! Thanks for everyone's help.

I don't remember exactly what color the grout is but it's a light gray -- maybe Oyster Gray? I can go dig around and find it if you'd like to know for sure. I think we chose it because it's a pretty close match to the edges of the glass tile. Here's a close-up of the backsplash if that helps: From Finished Kitchen Both tiles are from Sonoma Tilemakers. The 3x6 is a light green, Trellis Green, and the 1x2 is their Tantrum tile in color Tazo.

We used the same tile for our kitchen backsplash. Please use the spacers (check to see what is recommended grout line and get spacers that size). if you want a uniform look, then choose a grout color that best blends with the tiles. Our contractor does alot of tile work and as good as he is, he said that even the slightest variance in a linear placement can affect the straight line. He always uses them, even with 30 years experience of doing tile work.
