Comments (10)I intend to plant my latest acquisitions Sunday. Just had no time to plant them Friday and could not plant them today. They have been in a small container with water over their roots, under lights, where Zizu cannot reach them (that is a rare thing in my home--someplace Zizu the amazing leaper cannot reach). Coconut Custard's leaves have yellowed a bit, but there are new green leaves in the center. And, the plant fell into 2 complete but small plants. Can hardly wait to plant them Sunday. Smiling Sailor seems to be a green hosta with a small whitish streak up the middle of the leaves. Does not seem to be a popular variety. Comments (31)I thought of her last week or so when an old thread came up. I associate her passing with my sister's, as it was around the same time. As with sister, when I saw Mama's name I had to remind myself that she isn't here anymore. Grief is a weird thing in that the brain takes a long time to get the fact that someone you've loved all your life isn't here for you to talk to anymore, and the same can go for a cyber-presence you've come to "know," now hearing her "voice" anymore. When I center the rug should it be centered in the actual room or centered on the fireplace. unfortunately the fireplace is not centered. Also the rug will hand over in the main walk way to the foyer is that okay? I believe that’s why I have it currently pulled to the right more if your facing the tv.
