Electricity and Plant Growth in Containers

I need to do more research and refresh memories on this
subject. But I remember in the 70’s there was a lot of interest in subject.
Using Electric and Magnetic fields to enhance plant growth.

Some misc links

One was the use of an electric discharge to generate N2O and
Ozone, to affect irrigation water with Nitrate and Peroxide. duplicating a
rainstorm. People have observed the effect of rain from Nitrates, Peroxide, and
leaching of salts from the root zones. A couple article links.

Second the use of Electric and Magnetic Fields the
manipulate Anion and Cations in a solution or other.

Third the connecting of container to the Earth for possible
effects due to effects of charges build up in the medium due insulating container
material ( like a Capacitor). Duplicating the potential of a plant in the ground.

metrics.

Also Capacitance can be used to monitor water content in
growth medium. Water has a high dielectric constant recall about 80. If the
medium is used as part of the dielectric of a capacitor, variations can be
calibrated to Soil Moisture Content.

EC meters use the electrical conductivity mhos(ohm spelled
backwards for inverse of Resistance) of a solution. EC meters use a low
frequency sinusoidal ( I think about 1Khz or so) AC voltage to measure the
current flow thru the soultion. AC is used fo more accuracy,to prevent any polarization
. A mho is 1/ohm.

Just some misc Thoughts.
