Foyer update and a question
Comments (24)Thanks everyone! I am leaving it uncovered. I think a basket will bring in the texture I'm looking for. enailes: I thought of putting the rug in front of the door, but decided against it because I wanted to highlight the sitting area, not the front door. Would have loved a rug to fill the entire space, but it would have to be custom bound. That's just not in the budget right now....See MoreEntry foyer update
Comments (2)Nice changes. I have three suggestions. The wall hanging is too high - it needs to come down and feel more connected with the sideboard - that will also make the upturning corners less noticeable. Second, I would change out the candle for something in a rusty red or a teal. Third, a darker shade on the lamp might be nicer, rather than the light, patterned one there now. I think it would help to connect between the dark trim on the wall hanging and the darker wood tones of the floor and the front of the cabinet....See MoreHow do I update/decorate my foyer?
Comments (6)I would move your bench over closer to the light switch so that it is not covering part of your stairs. Then i would put a pretty plant on the stair side of your bench. A rug is needed so maybe a longer one like you have in front of the door, so that it comes in front of your bench, Love your bench....See MoreHelp with ideas for kitchen and foyer tile update.
Comments (0)We are replacing our tile floors and need suggestions that will work with existing adjacent wood floors. Looking at light cream and beige tiles in a larger size than original 12 by 12. Also considered a wood look ceramic tile and also replace wood in family room off the kitchen ( but we want to keep the wood in the front rooms off the entry/foyer area. We have pets so I like the durability of tile in kitchen area. Any suggestions (pros and cons) appreciated. I don’t want to make a costly design mistake....See MoreOutsidePlaying
