Comments (6)This weekend part of the pack of hounds went somewhat off course. I went to try to help and when I got there they had got most of the pack back together, but had to trot up the road for a way to get to a safe location hang out waiting for other hounds to re-appear. They did have a "road whip" driving along behind them with its emergency blinkers on to ensure no cars came racing up behind. It's unusual for the hounds to cross a road since foxes usually circle around within their territory. Someone thought the hounds were on the scent of a coyote, which run more in a straight line. In any case, luckily none of the hounds were lost or injured....See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Mon Nov 23
Comments (8)Yes, that is the ship that we were on earlier this month. If you look above the row of life boats (orange covers) everything above that line are balcony cabins. Also balcony cabins (5 decks) at the stern. Above those cabins there is a open deck and a small pool, of course with a bar. In the center of the ship, a large pool (bar and Mexican buffet) with a retractable cover. At the highest point at the front of the ship is another open deck (with a wind screen to protect while under way) and beneath that is "The Crow's Nest" with a great coffee bar, library, dance floor and lots of chairs for reading and relaxing. A closer view of some of the balcony cabins....See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Mon Nov 14
Comments (6)Beautiful, Casey! The colors are so warm. I love it. Gazania, that must have been a fun puzzle to do. You are the Queen of Puzzlers!! So my picture is from a visit to San Juan Capistrano Mission. There is a large cement pond with carp and water lilies that is just amazing! First is a photo I took there. The second is a mosaic glass piece that I did trying to make it look like a water lily. I'm still not sure I succeeded on that one. :)...See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Mon Nov 21
Comments (15)Trees bordering a cemetery are nice but there is a downside. In my town, there is a historic cemetery that has maple trees along its front border. Many of the town founders are buried there. I suspect those trees may have contributed to the street name; It is Maple avenue. Those trees are over 100 years old and some have died. Storms occasionally topples one of these trees with monster trunks, and when that happens, tombstones are damaged or wrecked. Old cemeteries I have visited that have endured the best are devoid of deciduous trees. A few shrubs and certain evergreens seem to endure without causing a lot of damage....See Moremurraysmom Zone 6a OH
