This weekend part of the pack of hounds went somewhat off course. I went to try to help and when I got there they had got most of the pack back together, but had to trot up the road for a way to get to a safe location hang out waiting for other hounds to re-appear.
They did have a "road whip" driving along behind them with its emergency blinkers on to ensure no cars came racing up behind.
It's unusual for the hounds to cross a road since foxes usually circle
around within their territory. Someone thought the hounds were on the
scent of a coyote, which run more in a straight line. In any case,
luckily none of the hounds were lost or injured.
