Yes. They are American White Ibis, which I didn't know existed. I simply saw birds flying over head in an interesting formation and snapped the zoomed in shot. Only later as I looked at the image did I see the characteristic long curvy beak, and then looked them up. Its pretty incredible detail for a quick focus and snap as the birds flew over. Tulsa_rose: It is entirely possible that your camera cannot reproduce red or pink very well, and then, it may the l lighting. you'll get a bluish cast if the lighting is by florescent or related lamps. If you camera is digital, it may have settings to shift the color balance for different lightings. You could also run a white balance before you shoot using the same light as for the subject. If you do this, run the white balance again when you go outside to reset the white balance.
