Its only my second time there in 20-some years. My wife's family used to go there every summer for the month of August, and shortly after we started dating her family had a large reunion trip to the island. It happened to be the first time I met any of her family, and there sure were a lot of them. That trip (which was in August, years ago) the weather was mostly good, this trip the weather was cold, windy and rainy. So by my scientific sampling the weather is rotten about 50% of the time. Doesn't this look like great beach weather?

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening By Robert Frost Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. Yes. They are American White Ibis, which I didn't know existed. I simply saw birds flying over head in an interesting formation and snapped the zoomed in shot. Only later as I looked at the image did I see the characteristic long curvy beak, and then looked them up.

Its pretty incredible detail for a quick focus and snap as the birds flew over.

haha - the caption "vultures at the beach" reminded me of the Jimmy Buffett song "Fins", which is about land sharks at the beach.
