We went to Block Island for Thanksgiving and stayed at a house my sister-in-law and her husband bought around this time last year. How pretty is that? Beautiful fall colors on that flower. Mums are tough. I had one in the flower beds that the deer wouldn't leave alone so I stopped taking care of it because I am giving up on flowers and am going to plant something else out there next year that deer don't like. The mum dried up completely and I thought it was dead. With the first rain, it greened up and is now standing tall and healthy. Because it tried so hard to live, I'm going to dig it up and put it in a pot. It can live on the deck safe from the deer for the rest of it's life.

We had a smoothie and a shortbread cookie for lunch. The shortbread cookie is one that Terri_Pncw posted a few years ago. It's the first time I made them, and it's a keeper! The Smoothie is baby kale and baby spinach with fresh pineapple, bananas, kefir and whey and some frozen fruit. I still have my blender but we went out and bought a Harley Pasternak machine. Our smoothies are now smooth without chewing the ingredients! I'll keep trying to sell the other blender.
