Comments (11)I wondered why no one was discussing this show over here!! :) I LOVE it! So much that I think I may need to be medicated to be able to tolerate the looooooong wait to next season. I love how artful language was in those days. I love everything about this show. Still mourning the loss of Sybil. Can't believe the cliffhanger for next season, though, Pam, I knew, too, when he was driving that car....so what about what the naysayers say about his storyline...his gorgeous eyes and that smoooooth voice. One of my faves. :( I love the meals, too! The kitchen fascinates me. My china is the one they use when the ladies are served breakfast in bed! It used to be the breakfast china in the dining room, too, but a different china seems to be used this season. I'm not one of those gals that can quote movie lines like the guys can...but when it comes to THIS show, there are so many brilliant lines...I can fire off quite a few! (Tired of James, though...and Alfred)...See MoreDid anyone else see Downton Abbey?
Comments (124)Vee, sorry, I only just noticed your post to me about Death Comes to Pemberley. I don't watch Downton Abbey so haven't been following this thread. I can't remember what I said about the book either but the TV show looks interesting and I shall see if I can get an advance DVD download as I don't know when it will be shown here or it may have been on Foxtel satellite which I don't have. I don't get the time to watch everything I'd like on "Free to air" as it is! I have heaps of programs that sit in the recorder.......See MoreNext season will be the last for Downton Abbey.
Comments (14)I never got into this show. Friends greatly recommended it, so I watched one show. Like any soap opera, I was lost, had no idea who was who, what was going on. I would wait a couple years for the whole run to come out on DVD, then I'll binge-watch. Gossip wise, I heard Maggie Smith announced she was done with her role, in real time her character would be about 100 years old. So I guess since she's a main character, they decided to wrap it up on a high note....See MoreWatching Now: Downton Abbey Season Six
Comments (5)I'm not reading your message b/c I'm not watching until it airs on PBS. However, maybe add SPOILERS in caps to your title in future threads. Someone may not have seen the previous thread, nor realize that you can be watching it ahead of the US broadcast so that will prevent them from misunderstanding the nature of these kind of threads. I hope you are enjoying it - I'm really looking forward to seeing it!...See MoreUser
