Comments (16)Magpie...my mother used to use Lemon Juice for those yellow stains... a 'Tip from Heloise' ! I also found some other tips that might be helpful ; Homemade Ways to Eliminate Yellow Stains From Clothing There are probably several products laying around your home that can be used for removing yellow stains from clothing. Homemade products are often as effective as store bought products, however, since homemade products are less controlled it is also easier to cause permanent damage to the clothing. Be sure to test any homemade product on an inconspicuous area before applying directly to the yellow stain. Mixture of Baking Soda, Peroxide, and Water A mixture of baking soda, peroxide, and water applied directly to the yellow stain will remove it. Mix equal parts of baking soda, peroxide, and water in a small container. Apply the mixture to the stain and use a bristle brush to rub the mixture in to the fabric. Allow it to sit for thirty minutes to an hour depending on the severity of the stain and wash as normal. Denture Tablets Denture tablets can brighten yellow stains on light or dark clothing. Dissolve two to four denture tablets in a bucket of water. Set the stained clothing inside the water for eight to twelve hours. Remove the clothing and wash as normal. White Vinegar and Salt Mix a half a cup of white vinegar with half a cup of salt in a bucket of water. Place the clothing inside the mixture and stir for at least thirty minutes. Remove the clothing and wash as normal. Toothpaste Toothpaste can be applied directly to a yellow stain to brighten it. Rub the toothpaste over the entire stained area with a bristle brush until the stain is lifted. Once the stain is removed, wash the clothing to remove the toothpaste. Lemon Juice Lemon juice brightens yellow stains on white and light colored clothing. Apply pure lemon juice to the entire stained area and let the clothing sit in the sun for an entire day. As soon as you bring the clothing inside, wash as normal by hand or in a washing machine to remove the lemon juice Good luck... jane...See MoreHelp! I'm feel like I'm going crazy...long
Comments (55)Ladies may I join you in this discussion? I am a young healthy looking 62. And today is my first visit here after looking up adrenaline I sure understand better now That's what I have going on MY NATURE'S PACE MAKER.working. Adrenaline After a stay in icu heart recently everyone finally agreed i am mot crazy.it was.my heart. The docs installed is a device catch my heart acting badly is a heart tracker like halter monitor. Under my chest muscles on top of my heart. I can cause it record what just happened.. iam write with excitment because your stories are all so familiar. These stories for me begin after mitral valve repair. 7 years ago. Basic problem ..unless the doc sees the heart behaving badly they deny the problem. All this time we never could catch it Last doc said bluntly if we dont see it didnt happen. You must to er Well recent at 230 am it woke me up, just as you have described. I went directly to the er They caught the serious thing! Arrithemia and more then two days in icu. Now meds have slowed my heart from 70 to 52 while docs decide what to do. Last night I realized I was having an adreilin rush. The same rush I went to a neurologist for help. Over a year and half. Often it also affect my skin. Goose bumps crawling feeling all day long! Well have I got news for him.I was not crazy about that either. my gp I visited last month just to say. I know you don't know what is wrong but I still got it. Knows too I sat in neros office two months ago ,,,same thing. I said dr i just want you know ME when I end up in er..and i need you. well it was er straight to icu. Home now with electrical issues. It woke me up heart pounding.sweat .out of breath!!! Happened several times . then checked average heart rate on my Garmin. 48. Average 48 so i was probably lower. Maybe 45! My natural pace maker kicked in every time sleep lowered bpm and I was short on air. Natural pace maker? Adrenaline can't wait to see what was recorded on my device Thank you body! Now I think i know what as going on for long time hidden from doc view. Electric shock adrenaline style...See MoreMy cabinet hardware was installed today - not sure if I like it
Comments (40)oh, definitely love the hardware--especially after seeing it with your beautiful range! i love your oven hungryheart!!! hardware ties in so nicely with it, and i seriously wouldn't change a thing. oh..to answer your ?, my hardware was from restoration hardware. one of the few things dh picked, orginally i picked a handle kind a similar to yours called this one called Ephram, a lot of gw'ers have them and fell in love (i like chunky hardware!!) and i was also considering the "bistro" (again chunky!) but dh wanted the hanson ones anyway, glad to see you moved on to your backsplash now lol!...See MoreI feel like I have found my people
Comments (36)No pics yet because nothing's been able to be "redone". Still plywood subfloors, no appliances, and a ripped out bathroom. I realized yesterday that the refinished floor has areas that are duller than others, so now I need to get the guy back to recoat. It didn't show up until the floor was fully dry and starting to "cure" but it's very noticeable. :-( The entire finished basement has to be ripped out (walls, ceiling and all insulation) and the floor and all the framing disinfected. Environmental companies don't do this and not many pest control ones do either. I've gotten estimates ranging from $4400 to $9600 for the same job. It involves guys wearing chemical suits, respirators, extractor fans, disinfectant spray, the whole 9 yards. The neighbors will no doubt be appalled at the goings on. Then I have to get an electrician in to examine the visible wiring for damage. I'm sure there will be some. Haven't been able to address the garage floor issue because the old refrigerator is sitting there waiting for my son to arrange to remove it, which apparantly is a more complicated scenario than hosting the Olympic Games. Nobody rents a truck with a power liftgate, nobody we know has a trailer hitch for one of those tow-behind things, and none of his friends have time to assist. When the rest of the house gets painted, the walls will be sealed with BIN first. I realized that the garage floor is actuallly painted (the grey stuff) so I may be lucky and perhaps a good scrubbing with Mex will help. (TSP isn't allowed to be sold in our state) I have to say, the rodent stink is just as bad as the dog smell. Different but equally disgusting. This has been a huge financial sinkhole. What should have been no more than $35K in renovations has already surpassed $65K that in outlay to date, and there is still another $40K committed to (and necessary) but not yet done and paid for. In the end this house will have cost me $100K more than its selling price and neither the house itself nor the area justifies that number. I could have bought any of a number of houses listed at that level over the past 3 years which would have gotten me more square footage as well. And fewer problems!...See Morecookncarpenter
