Three feet wide does not describe any Mutabilis I have ever seen or grown in different gardens, as it tends to be as wide as tall, and sometimes even wider. There is a China rose, of which I cannot recall the name, which has white blooms with pink splotches or striped areas, and sometimes completely pink ones, from where possibly the sport has reverted to the original pink roses. I hope someone will know which rose I mean. Edited: The rose I meant is 'Smith's Parish", sometimes known as Fortune's Five Colored Rose.

My guess too would be Easy on the Eyes. In addition to being different in appearance, they are very healthy roses in many garden settings.

mblan13 - I have never heard of air layering and had to look it up. Pretty cool! I hope you are successful! And I am still beside myself with excitement! I never planted Paw Paws because I didn't think Zebras were common in my area, even though they are native. I have seen all kinds of butterflies, but never a Zebra, so I figured they hung out in more specialized areas for the species. To see one this close to me is astounding and encouraging. I was literally so shocked when I saw it - like "AM I REALLY SEEING A ZEBRA?!!!!!" Even if it takes a few years to get one to visit my yard, I will be happy!

I saw one again today in my gardenbed. Could be the same one I saw yesterday but if there is one, there is always others. Hope I can get a pic with my camera instead of the phone. Really beautiful butterfly. We have seen the orange ones and the black and yellow ones too. Taking a break from mowing and getting bombarded by the cicadas. They keep thinking they can do a ride along on my clothes while I mow. Julia
