Court cupboards were usually much taller than 35" -- more like 5 feet or more. The Eagle Lock Company was in business from 1833 until 1977, so if the lock is original to the piece, that gives you the absolute outside time limits. The single board on the back is a more modern technique, and it looks like it might be rather thin, probably plywood rather than a solid wood -- is it? Is there an exposed edge you can look at, maybe the bottom? Could we see the inside of the doors and the interior? I think what you have is a sideboard or buffet, and agree with the others on the date, although it might be as early as 1910. But as mfrog says, it's very hard to tell from photographs. Even if it isn't centuries old, it's still a nice piece.

The Corn cookie jar is on a counter that hasn't been cleaned in what looks like years and there is old, dried coffee stuck to the back of the jar and then the jar looks like it is stuck in the dried coffee, right to the counter. And the WHOLE top of the comb - I want to see the curvy end. The carving looks like a combination of machine drilling with hand finishing, which is a good method. The legs are embedded into the seat and planed smooth, and the arms are pegged into the spindles ... both signs of better construction. The seat looks like one slab, shaped to be comfy. What Linda wants to see is the "rake" - the way the back legs slant outwards from the seat. It's harder to do than squared straight legs, but makes a more elegant and sturdier chair. Like this chair - I wouldn't call your chair a "reproduction" as much as a well-made chair in a form that was invented in the 1600s when tools made the spindles possible. They were so comfortable they really never went out of style. My totally wild guess would be early 20th century, when the colonial revival was peaking in the USA. And like Linda, I think there's something "un-American" about it. Quite probably made as part of a set, for export to the USA, to rich folk. I totally discount that First Dibs chair's price. It's been awhile since I made an update, but this is where I'm at now: Crown moulding is installed and painted. Double-curtain rods and sheer curtains are up, but talked to my aunt who mentioned that I should consider reinstalling them above the window to give the windows a longer sleeker look. Took down the art deco chandelier to have it cleaned and fixed, but I accidentally tipped it over while it was on the floor and it shattered into a thousand pieces. Turns out it was made of cheap pewter. So I found and installed a Turkish style chandelier I received from a seller in Turkey on Etsy. I also installed similar styled Turkish sconces (I'll be replacing the globes with more colorful ones soon). I pulled up the carpet from both rooms. I painted the fireplace insert black. I painted the ugly gold lamp stands black, and added new shades. Things still left to do: I'm still looking for a chandelier for the living room. Repair and refinish the floors (the floor needs a number of boards refilled). Figure out what to do about the gap between the floor and the quarter-round/baseboard that was revealed after I pulled the carpet up. Replace current projector screen with a floor-rising one so that I'm no longer covering 80% of the front window at all times. Install a picture rail about an inch and a half under the crown moulding. Update/add electrical outlets (which will include an upgrade to my breaker). replace carpet in the living room with a Persian style carpet that's approx. 9' x 12'. Replace couch and coffee table. Retile the front of the fire-place. Have a number of the cracks in the plaster repaired. Acquire and hang paintings and framed posters on the walls. And that's just the Living Room and Dining Room. Sigh...
