Kohler DTV Prompt Experience
Comments (1)Last September we were researching the same type of system for our master bath reno and decided on the Moen I/O Digital because it could also control the flow rate. We've been using the shower for nearly two weeks and are loving the ability to easily control all three shower head either remotely or with the panel in the shower. The Moen valve is a little noisy right now but that will improve when we close off the wall where the valve is located. Comments (2)Over here that system would not have met code. A 2" drain is rated at 6 gpm and if each spray is rated at 2 gpm so you have 8 gpm draining just from the watertile and if you're using the body sprays at the same time, you are attempting to drain 14 gallons per minute through a drain that can only drain 6 gallons per minute. You need a minimum 3" pipe ALL the way to the sewer. In addition if any other lines, like the sink or bathtub, drain into the same pipe you could exacerbate the problem. All I can say is you'd better be careful the water doesn't overflow your shower pan and cause real damage. And is your water heater big enough to give you enough hot water. At 14 gpm you could get an almost three minute shower from a 50 gallon hot water heater, maybe 5 if you mix in cold water. LOL but DH would die laughing if he could see the things I've needed to learn to remodel our own bathroom including the dream shower he wants...See MoreAnyone have the Kohler Reve sink?
Comments (3)I don't have it, but it's on my "short list." Planning to build a console-type vanity beneath it instead of a pedestal, though. I think splashing depends on some other factors, primarily the faucet and the user, more than the sink! And the water spots probably depend more on the hardness of the water than the style of the sink. Porcelain is porcelain, isnt' it? Look forward to hearing of other options in this size range. Comments (58)I do have a Karbon. Wall-mounted. Love it. I looked all over for a soap dispenser that wouldn't argue with the Karbon. We just put this one in. It looks good, but its operation seems to be to be a bit stiff. This saves on soap though. :) My last soap dispenser gushed at the slightest pressure. Sorry but I still don't have a working camera to show you how it looks with the Karbon. :( rc Here is a link that might be useful: Kohler K1995 soap dispenser...See Moreuscpsycho
