as i understand it ... you bought these pre-planted ... which to me means OVER planted ... for fast sale and immediate gratification ... if they are flopping every night after being in the blistering sun during the high heat of the day ... that means the roots are too jammed in what little potting media there is ... there isnt enough media.. to hold the water they need the ONLY solution.. FOR NEXT YEAR ... is bigger permanent pots ... with enough media ... to sustain the plants for the season ... and just enough plants to grow in such .... but you will have to wait a month or two.. for them to fill up the pot ... i would bet my shiny nickle... if you took the pot apart.. and tipped out the root mass.. you would be hard pressed to find any media.. to hold water.. for the whole day ... these pots need to go in shade.. during the heat of the day.. and you will probably find.. that they can actually making it thru the day ... without looking like a bunch of wilted cut flowers ... yes.. i know.. that defeats the purpose you bought them for... but them dying does also ... put them in the patio in the yard in the shade.. and you can enjoy them for the rest of summer ... ken

Hong, I wish I was rich and could afford to fly you here, lol. I pulled a Mike today in walmart and went to the garden area fisrt and had all kinds of goodies in the cart then went to the paint section and got a few cans of green paint then I saw the manager of the garden dept and she told me they had the pond I had looked at a while back on clearance with the pump liner and the whole kit for $45 with a 36 gallon liner. So I put back the some stuff and got the ticket for the pond. Then hubby kept calling and adding things he needed so the paint ended up near the produce section. I'll either have to go with black since I already have some or wait a little bit til I get more money. Now I have yet another project to do, lol. I hope it is big enough to have a fish or two in it and it has ledges different depths for plants. Oh boy I think I have ADD I can't seem to stay on track lately. Lol. I will take pics as I go but it will take me a little while to get everything situated. I have some landscape fabric already and will probably use round up then put the newspaper then the fabric then the mulch for underneath the gazebo. I think I am going to move it some too. We sit on the back porch a lot and you can't see it way over where it is very well. I just feel like I am putting everything on one side of the yard because of how far it is to the faucet, lol. If we get some extra money I really would love another water line or dream big and wish for a sprinkler system. Lucy we just wish each other Happy Birthday or you never know and might get a surprise in the mail sometimes. I have to get to bed soon. I have a doctor appt in the morning. Sorry I have been hogging the forum. Its been an exciting week. Karyn I will check at Lowes and see if they have some left. The one I got is small enough to ship. I'll send you that one and get 2 more. Patty might go with me and do some enabling, lol. They didn't have any at Walmart and with the high wind we had today what they had outside looked terrible. I drove an allamanda around in the buggy for a while though, lol. There should be lots of stuff on the clearance rack after today at Lowes, lol. I am going to have to get an advance on my payday, lol.

i agree .... on repotting... i would have done it a few weeks back ... but what i dont know.. is if you can do it.. without aborting the fruit ... also... think long and hard about what cures you use in soil ... if you plan on eating the fruit ... many things to ponder.. and i would also defer to the citrus peeps ... but one thing for sure .... WATERING IS NEVER A SCHEDULE thing ... you water when it needs water.. and most trees like the media to nearly dry before you water again ... insert finger and find out.. or learn to do it by weight of pot ... get this.. the thing that happens.. when the media doesnt dry enough.. is you get weird bugs living in the media.... and that might be right where you are right now ... so though you think the issue is the media... the root cause.. might be your watering .... [there is almost a root pun there] i wish you luck ... ken ps: now the real .. next question is... have you ever grown a tree indoors???? .... it might be a wild ride ... especially if you are up north.. in the great white north... and have a forced air furnace ... and that again.. is where watering might become a nightmare ... besides indoor humidity issues in winter .... one thing for sure.. your outdoor summer watering schedule.. will be near useless indoors .... this is where it gets real hard.. if you havent figured that out yet.. lol ....

Kevin, now that I am better, I will take a couple of pics this week. We had a 20 inch snow storm here and I had to shovel the heaviest snow I ever had too. I'm so tired..Good job. Yes, I assume there is still past damage. Too bad we can't get our trees out now when that happens. The warm sunny days always seem to bring anything back from the dead. I have trees loosing leaves left and right getting tired of being cooped up all winter long so don't feel bad. s long as your watering is doing ok it should start to create new roots..Do you use Pro-tek? Great stuff..
