where to find this decorative arrangement

we just painted our fireplace white and I think this is just what we need to pull the look together. I've been searching for this arrangement, is it eucalyptus? Anyone know where to buy this? Thanks!

OR if you don't think that would work, PLEASE give me some ideas. I've been looking for a moderately priced oil painting of animals, horses, dogs, or farm animals, but have found nothing I love. Right now I have just have my Jack Russells up there with a couple of undersized lanterns and a fake plant. Help please!!

Hard to see close up, but it looks like Fern and eucalyptus. May be fresh, may be really good silk. Pretty.

Yes, I agree with maddie.........fern and eucalyptus. Click here to see the selections they have at Michael's. Pier One may also stock it ......they have a nice selection of faux plants. Check Michael's, HomeGoods, Tues. Morning, etc. for the the vase.

Also, if you have trees and shrubs in your yard, don't hesitate to make your own fresh cuttings.

I think that's so beautiful you want to make these memories for your child! Knowing my own decorating and reading the above responses I see a common thread of choosing which holidays and how to decorate coming about organically. Like your child will be making decorations in preschool, and now that you've decided you want to do this your eye will start noticing others' (inc. shops') decorations and what appeals to you. This forum has also really helped me with SUPER ideas about decorating. Like a few years ago kswl had that incredible slideshow of her home at xmas and I fell so hard head over heels ... it totally inspired my nutcrackers (for xmas). And another generous participant posted her beautiful gumdrop tree (again for xmas) which got me going in that candy direction, and I'll tell you I RAN with it! I don't even like (to eat) candy yet I've found it the most magical, perfect way of decorating the trees. Thank you GW! So we're multiethnic (I'm 1/2 Jewish, 1/2 WASP and my partner is 100% Shinto Buddhist Japanese) and we have fun with it. I love love love our Hanukkah waterglobe collection and growing collection of dreidels. I love all the koinobori (carp windsocks) we have for Children's Day (May 5th). I find that for many holidays my decorating effort extends to color-appropriate candies in the living room -- like red & silver kisses for Valentine's, pastel pastilles for Easter. I am NOT a jingoist but I do love red white & blue bunting on the 4th ... on other people's houses. I'm not that motivated, I guess, although this year we did line our front walk with stars and stripes pinwheels. That was fun and made me really part of our sweet little town's festivities. We have Japanese lanterns up in the backyard so they're already handy for Obondori (another Japanese celebration honoring your ancestors), and then because I am a wannabe Mexican I have tons of fun with Halloween and my calaveras / catrinas. My 6 y.o. is *delighted* with the enormous fuzzy tarantula we affix to the outside of his window each year -- the kids love it. This year I went bananas at Target and purchased a string of jack o lantern lights and put them in a tree, and then a cobweb made of orange lights which we plastered on the living room window. Need help arranging (and decorating) small bedroom

I lived in an apt. for three years where the only wall space big enough for the bed in the small bedroom was in front of the window because the other wall was all closet. It worked out OK. The only problem was once a week I could hear a loud noise of my neighbor emptying his recycling into the bin the night before pickup. The bedroom was on the ground floor right next to our shared driveway. I had good light blocking shades.

yes drapes will fo on the other window. I only had this one pair because we have new furniture and when we had this set we only had one windows. in regards to the "changing table" this is what it looks like. it used to be a dresser lol. it will NOT stay there. I just dont know what to do with it right now although I could move it upstairs and let my son just use it (the loft is going to be our playroom I hate having toys downstairs) but obviously I dont know what to do with this space. I like the edit with 2 pictures high vs the 3. my FIL is an artist so he will do the painting that goes on the purple wall. this is the color scheme I gave him to play with. he is thinking a gallery wrapped canvas (so it doesnt need a frame) I'm just trying to decide size. should I keep the canvas the length of the buffet table?

You have two posting for the same room. Can you delete the one with 2 responses? Lower tv after you purchase a console that is wider than the tv. Remove all the little things filling spaces; little glass table by tv, don't put anything on tv cabinet, remove mirror above couch and replace with art, remove the wicket baskets, the book shelf and candle/lamps on bar. You don't need to fill every spot, you need some "free of stuff" space. Remove pictures behind the lamps, no need for anything there except the lamps. At least get a small round table and forget the bar stools so no one has to look at the kitchen while eating, more pleasant to look at the person you are eating with. It appears as if you have spare chairs to put at the table. No chairs lined on the wall in front of the window, maybe a low bench if needed for seating. You do have to much fur. I love your couch, end tables, lamps and rug. Pick a one or two colors from you rug and see what you find art wise as well as a few pillows. Possibly a tall plant in corner by bar. It appears you have some gray already, the gray appears to go well with the rug and couch. To me the colors in the rug and couch and the touches of gray are calming and cheerful.

I saw several arrangements at Home Goods yesterday similar to what you showed above; I'm sure you would find something.

As a side note, it was a very large HG combined with Marshalls; I always visit this combined store when I'm in Davie, FL.

This could also be silk in artificial (resin) water, from someplace like Petals. com., although I did not see this exact one there. Forever Green Art sells preserved greenery and flowers, as another option.

Buy a rectangular vase and get some eucalyptus from the florist. Easy peasy.

One of the reasons it looks so great is the scale, so be sure to get or make it BIG. The other accessories are also a larger size than what you have, so maybe think about a few more substantial things to display with your eucalyptus on your pretty fireplace.

What is opposite the fireplace? A mirror with a pretty frame would also work for you if the reflection is nice.

Yes, you can find eucalyptus at Michaels or other similar stores. Possibly Joanne Fabrics too. You will need 2-3 bunches to make a beefy arrangement like that. You could probably find a similar glass vase at Michaels too, or even someplace like Target. I'd use real dried eucalyptus, not fake, as the real stuff has a nice scent. (And it lasts forever, no water needed.)

I would almost say for certain it's Eucalyptus, because of the color and the shape of the leaves. And it looks to be dried, rather than sillk. It's bought by the bunch, and comes wrapped in celophane. Hobby Lobby, Michael's and At Home(Gardenridge), usually have it.

It looks like there is water or a water illusion. It's not just stems in a bowl. That's why I'm asking if anyone has seen this online or in a store. It's a picture on Houzz. I don't see any information there, though.

I'm with patty cakes...looks like eucalyptus...they may have used the resin to look like water, but it isn't necessary at all. You can buy the stuff at Michaels, Jo-ann's or other craft stores...buy a large bunch...and just add it to a vase and your done, for a lot less money than something prepared that you'd buy.

If you wanted to, you can buy the resin as well and add it.

Annie, is right. If you want 'water' add the resin 'variety'. I wouldn't spend big bucks for something so simple, $39.99, max, but i've been doing my own arrangements for years, for family/friends too. Even a coule of weddings where I did use *real* Eucalyptus for a winter wedding. I saved it and when it dried made an arrangement and gave it to my Sis. It will last for years, but the smell may deminish slightly over time.
